So today I had a social planned for this evening but I am now unable to go due to my child's plans changing. I messaged the lady and informed her of the situation and we hope to arrange for another time. No stress or drama. Who would be OK with this and who would paint me as being a Time-wasting so and so.. |

There and to the left a bit |
Why would you be labelled as a time waster if you have a legitimate reason and have provided notice as far as possible in advance and not just not turned up? I think if you've built up a rapport and connection with a potential meet, it'd be obvious if you were wasting their time.
By the sounds of it your meet doesn't think that you are OP, so all good there |

"I would be fine with this and try to re-arrange. Sometimes life does get in the way of fab.
If you cancelled a second time i might not be as understanding though.

I wouldn't cancel on you a first time |

Just wondering as it's legitimate and we're cool and will rearrange. Was thinking about how others deal with it when it's not taken as such.. Eg: one chance and you're out.. Life's not like that in my eyes. |

That would be fine with me, as you had given notice, apologised and are planning to rearrange. A time waster for me, is the guy that just doesn't turn up and doesn't contact the person they were meant to meet. |

I think you've been fair.. You've given notice, given a fair explanation, and re-sheduled if I'm reading you right. I think that's the important bit, to try to reschedule there and then... Otherwise even the best of excuses can seem like a blow-off |

People's underdstanding of time and its value is very vast!
Always remember time used well and comstructively to attian is deemed well.
"Time wasted "
You waste others or even your very own time. It will never come back, nor can you buy it,extend it,change it, nor return it.
So why do we all actually waste time?? |
