Is there anything more insulting?

You've had the social... Its all gone well... There's talk of a follow-up...

Then they post an 'anyone free to meet tonight?' status... And then text you at 2am looking for a hook-up when nobody else has taken the bait. I've unfriended and blocked 2 recently for doing just this

If we have a meet without a social first, we'd normally plan it to be near or at a club, then if we dont click... there's other options.

I think the club as a back-up plan in case things don't work out is acceptable. Not quite the same thing....

Tbh Angie I'm rapidly losing faith here.... I've had months of users (great coffee... Now, can you get me on the list for a club?), stand-ups (my battery died and I couldn't tell you I wasn't coming), indecisive head-wreckers (I really like you, but I don't really know if I'm ready to meet someone/there's someone else I like more), and then there's the downright bemusing (I'd an amazing time, so wonderfully rare, but my wife won't let me meet you again).

I seem to be rolling my eyes on a constant basis

I need to understand this you've met, there is talk of a follow up .... when? Whenever? Is the guy (I assume), not free to look to look to meet if you have finished your social.

I'd think the late night text is him being horny and not having the sense to not text his new found flame.

Exactly!!! I did explain this to them in very simple terms before I told them they'd blown any chance of ever meeting me again, and they were both surprised - neither of them thought about it from the other side. I asked them if any of the other ladies they had met before had reacted similarly when texted or called under the same circumstances.... And they both admitted that others had simply blocked them without explanation and they never knew why.... I could almost hear the lightbulbs coming on

I don't see the issue with having a social with someone getting along and talk of arranging another meet. Then putting up a meet me now option, it's not like you were going to play with them that night is it?

I do see your point about the cheeky fucker then texting later asking for a hook up, when he knew you wasn't going to be playing

I'd like to add that this isn't an exclusive male thing. There are many women doing it. Had it happen a few times in the past couple of months.... had a 3some being planned and last minute was told couldn't do it only to find out it happened .... then they offered again. Kinda felt like used goods. I politely refused.

Generally speaking and all things being equal, I'm the same. But I also realise life happens and people cancel for whatever reason.

Having a back up plan stops the weekend (I only meet on weekends) going up in smoke and being completely wasted.

That's my logic.

I'm with Red on this one... I put considerable effort and time into getting to know someone and if I'm meeting them the meet will be planned and 'tailored' to our shared tastes... I think I've mentioned once or twice before on different threads that I don't do hook-ups... My meets always have a 'date-like' quality, and having planned and looked forward to sharing that time and experience with a particular person, I could never just substitute one person for another

"Hasn't happened to me but I gone off people who said they don't have the time to meet and then get verified by a couple of people."

I expect some people think that of us, but I think it can be fair comment. If we're meeting someone new and they're not in the same town it takes time and planning to get to the meet stage which we might not have at that moment. But we have met people who are very local to us where last minute meets are easy and take less time and planning. So we might say no to someone we haven't met before but then display a veri from someone else.

"This isn't going to be a popular thing to say but I'm gonna say it anyway because it's the truth..

EVERY single guy (and probably girl aswell) on here has a backup plan.

The difference is, I just wouldn't shout about it or be a cunt about it.

I wouldn't say this is true for every person on here.

For me it's that person I want to meet not just to meet to fuck anyone. So if it doesn't work out with them for whatever reason I don't have someone else immeadiately waiting in the wings!

Generally speaking and all things being equal, I'm the same. But I also realise life happens and people cancel for whatever reason.

Having a back up plan stops the weekend (I only meet on weekends) going up in smoke and being completely wasted.

That's my logic.

I can understand your logic, especially when time is precious for meets and I'm sure there's lots of people that do this. I just disagree that everyone does this as speaking personally I don't. "

I don't as I feel it's disrespectful. If I sensed I was a back up I wouldn't accept being second best and politely say no thank you. I value myself and the other person I'm meeting more than offering seconds or being seconds. I know why people do it but I wouldn't meet the and most likely never meet them either.

"This seriously happens? Fuck!

No.... Making it all up for the hell of it...

Yes, it happens... I seem to be having a rather crappy six month streak of bad luck and trouble... The question of quitting has been hanging over me a lot lately... "

Think it's been a rather common thing the past 6 months especially over here as you've pointed out.

Pfft - speak for yourself. We don't all treat people like disposable toys.

If my own plans are scuppered, for whatever reason, I can always find something else to do - but never someONE.

"I'm with Red on this one... I put considerable effort and time into getting to know someone and if I'm meeting them the meet will be planned and 'tailored' to our shared tastes... I think I've mentioned once or twice before on different threads that I don't do hook-ups... My meets always have a 'date-like' quality, and having planned and looked forward to sharing that time and experience with a particular person, I could never just substitute one person for another "

Agreed

If you're going to quote me that's fine, but please quote my entire post for context and don't just chop the most pertinent bit off.

I don't. Well not another Fabber anyway.

When I agree to meet someone on any particular day it's them and them only I'm planning to meet. If they pull out for whatever reason then there's no meet for me that night.

Plan B is a night in at home. Or a drive out etc. But no speed dial to someone else.

That's not to say I haven't had different meets with different people diarised on different days. But on that day my attention is on the person I'm meeting and them alone!

"Hasn't happened to me but I gone off people who said they don't have the time to meet and then get verified by a couple of people.

Surely a couple's back up plan is each other "

I wasn't commenting on back up plans, was replying to the comment about people saying they get excuses about not having time to meet then people making the excuses getting a veri from somewhere else. Nothing to do with back up plans and everything to do with practicalities.

I chopped off your third line, because it assumed your preceeding statement to be factual truth, which it clearly was not.

The discarded sentence lacked validity and was therefore not in the least bit pertinent.

No. You chopped off my 3rd line because it suited you to do it.

The Town by The Cross

I've thought about it and it's NOT an insult.

Unless you want it to be.

It COULD be that the 'bloke' wants women of different flavours. He had one he liked one night but wants something else the next night.

When he can't get something different he messages to see if he can have something he knows he likes.

It'd be an insult if it was your boyfriend or your husband ......... but not on a N.S.A swingers site where people aren't necessarily looking for regular fb's ...... you know ...... they are escaping the same ole same ole.

Sometimes taking umbrage and being insulted, offended and outraged makes you worse off.

Don't be insulted. It's not worth it.

True that. If my fave fuck doesn't respond at 2am, I text Plan B, C then D.

Tend to end up with zilch though, before putting a meet request up on here!

I don't mind not being a first choice. If I'm in the mood to fuck and can get there I will. Most of my men know I can't usually meet at the drop of a hat, so I don't get many last minute messages (still get some though). I have, on many occasions, had more than one man ask to meet on the same day. I have to choose, and if they can't make it I will message the other/s to see if they're free. It's not that I value one man over the other, I like them all. I decide depending on different factors, which could be distance or what kind of sex they give me.

Ah... But that's my point... You text asking and exhaust all avenues before you put up a meet request

Again... You message and ask... You make them know they are wanted. You don't post a meet request/'anyone up for' status and then text someone 12 hours later as an afterthought when nobody replies to your request. There's the difference

I had exactly this with a guy on here last night (banged him a few times on his old profile). He'd text earlier in the day saying he was back on Fab and had messaged me on his new profile, which I just deleted as he hadn't sent a pic and had a new name etc.

Then later on I see he puts a meet request up and I suddenly see his pics, recognising him in the process.

I text him to say jokingly 'I'm insulted you didn't ask me' and he claims he was just trying to get me to notice him!! Talk about games!

Men have a load of reasons why they put meets up and mostly it's down to attention. Women too in all honestly and I hold my hands up!
