"It can be very therapeutic doing a tip run. Feels like the start of a new chapter.
Does it make you feel like a proper man though?
"
It depends what I'm throwing. If it's trees n stuff that I've dug up. Or a brick wall I've knocked down, then yeah.

A proper man puts things in the garage as they may be useful one day. "
Nah I disagree! Digging trees up and knocking down walls is quite manly phwoar.... |

I love a trip to the dump. Last time I went I gave a brand new pair of very high heels to one of the men who works there. They were too good to chuck and too small for anyone I know.
It's cathartic, de-cluttering the house and garden.

My post came moments too late and the new context made it seem silly.
Yes, knocking down walls and digging up trees does make one feel manly.
The last tree I dug up has been kept though. Partially because the logs are a good 20 inches across and seem like they could be useful one day. Partially because I can't fit them in the car. |

"I hate going. I hate the effort of chucking the stuff in the big skips!
Our recycling centre has a special lift thingy for just this reason.
Special lift thingy is the technical term. I asked."
Hhhhmmmmm your tip is very far away though |

I keep useful things! Not at all like hoarding. Really. I'm definitely going to use them one day!
The logs actually have intended uses though and the stump is going to become a carved garden chair.
With all the roots sticking out of the back it looks quite ominous and gothic. |

Oh god! My mother is always going to t'tip n usually with just one bin bag. She also has a spreate freezer draw that she raps n freezes left over food before she takes it to t'tip. She doesn't use her bins cos she doesn't want them to be smelly and attract rats.

I thought food wasn't allowed to be taken to tip and the one near me the staff at the tip check things in bags and refuse such things that aren't allowed. |

"Jesus wept. .
He would have done if he'd had to throw this shit in the great big skip with all the steps and stuff/hassle/forms"
I needed a 4 ton skip because I took exception to a wall in the kitchen and laid about it with a sledgehammer.
The bloody paperwork is a nightmare. And the cost! |
