To be a bit of a killjoy, those overhead speed limit signs are massive, if you can't see that there's a change in the speed limit in plenty of time, then it likely means one of two things.
You're not loooking far enough ahead I the road, or, your eye sight needs looking at which means you shouldn't be on the road anyway. |

And if anyone's wondering....drivers are complaining of being caught speeding due to sudden changes in the overhead speed limit. (Which takes a minute to register)
