With the recent rise in 'Reality' based and 'Celebrity' based TV shows, can it be said that TV executives and producers are guilty of running nothing more than a travelling Victorian Freak Show ?

There was always an audience for the shows in the 1800's and likewise that demand still exists today, albeit for it to be beamed directly into our homes.

So Roll Up, Roll Up to see what Channel 4 and the likes come up with next !

The sad thing is that the response usually falls into :

1. 'shock'

2. awareness, and then lastly

3. acceptance

They did a show on the American carny style freak show a little while back i think. It showed how they faked much of it and was more interesting than the so called reality dross that is sometimes on.

Ditto the record companies and movie production studios and the art galleries and...are we seeing a pattern here?

Research discovered that the brain in in the same state when watching TV as it is when asleep and - here's the zinger - it makes absolutely no difference what you're watching.

All TV is trash: viva la trash!
