I'm going to be the first one to complain and say I hate that big shiny ball in the sky right now, surely there must be some safe house for gingers and goths somewhere where we can hide till autumn?

Thank you!! Everyone thinks you're weird when you say you don't like being slowly roasted alive and being slightly sweaty all the time.

The first? You missed my rant poem this morning then!

Our doors are always open to goths, gingers and other sun-averse types.

I'm going to come too. I get far too overheated and uncomfortable.

West Wales and Cardiff

I get to live in a beautiful place that looks gorgeous on a sunny day.

Still doesn't feel right though .

The Band (that's the Band called The Band!) have a great song called Acadian Driftwood. I've always loved and identified with the line:

"Set my compass north, I've got winter in mun blood".

That's me!

I also have a burgeoning bobble hat fetish. I miss bobble hats

Yay! The coolest room is also the most comfortable! Wing back chairs, soft carpet and hundreds upon hundreds of books.

My favourite season is Autumn. Still nice weather, but not unbearably hot.

..

I don't do very well when the temperature rises. My body can't regulate the heat and I feel very uncomfortable. I always seek out the shade.

Unless I'm naked in a pool somewhere with watermelon in a bowl and a gin fizz in my hand, covered by the shade of an overhanging tree with a naked fellamalad fanning me, then I don't like it

"Bliss. Can you read to me?"

I'll even do the voices! (my repertoire consists of my voice, my voice but higher for girls, my voice but deeper for magicians, demonic and yorkshire)

"You look far too brown for a proper ginger "

It's not tan it's rust from the last rainy spell...although I'm now a lovely shade of "ouch don't touch me you fucker" ....you'll find it in the dulux colour chart between "lobster thermadore" and "spontaneous combustion"

I don't do well in the sun. My skin beetroots easily and I'm also really sun sensitive so I get tiny blisters even when I don't burn. But I like the smell of the suncream I've found that works on me and prevents them happening. I welcome more freckles arriving. I like putting my wet hair into plaits in the morning and pinning them on my head, cooling my head as the water evaporates. I have a route to work I use in the summer that makes full use of shady trees that as a bonus are gloriously pretty. And I have an old house that is a bugger to heat in winter but stays relatively cool in summer. I am not built for the sun but I am damned if I am going to become even more of a hermit as a result.

I just go a strange red grey in the face, but not neck or décolletage, and essentially look like an apoplectic beetroot in the heat. It's awful.

Beetroot snap!"

I'll join your beetroot club

Having an old cold house is wonderful in this weather, I'm tempted to move down into the cellar for a while

Having my hair up really helps, but neck burn is not fun!

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

The sun isn't always my friend but if I get it right then I get some vitamin D and no heat rash. And I get to wear my big hat.

Spring and autumn are the best seasons.

That's why I peg it up wet or still pretty damp. It cools as it dries. Plus little tendrilly ringlets. Bonus!
