Do you ever get a message from somebody, that has appalling grammar? And all you want to do is respond, "Go back to school moron!!"
I know mine isn't perfect. And I know most people don't take a lot of time to proof read what they are saying. But for the love of god, act like you have some sort of education

Yes I do and I generally don't reply.
Someone sent me some really poorly written erotica the other day and I just said "not interested". If he'd pressed the issue I'd have told him why... |

It doesn't bother me usually, if I can understand what is being said. One word opening messages which say 'fun' or 'now' without the quote marks usually need more said to grab my attention, but the one the other night at 11:30pm said 'wanna fk mi ass 10 ish all lubed ready?' followed by 'm no me' wasn't going to get me to drive 30 minutes for a few minutes of a fk followed by 30 minutes drive back at that time of night!  |

Far more important things to get worried about. I think if one judges someone over their ability to spell or punctuate it shows their level of shallowness. .. i know some lovely people whom I'd never think twice about being with and having as good friends who can't spell or punctuate well. It's not important imo. There are many reasons why people may struggle in that area.....they may well exceed in areas that I struggle in.  |

I would never think anyone as a 'moron'. I like to think I'm more understanding of people's needs and abilities. They may find written communication a struggle but that doesn't make them any less intelligent. What a boring life we would lead if we were all of the same ability. Open your mind and educate yourself before you judge others. |

There are many reasons why people could struggle with spelling or grammer.
I have a special needs child myself who struggles terribly.

We don't get too hung up on messages being perfect, but we do see messages and forum posts where we quite literally have no idea what the person is on about. |

The morons may not have the adequate education in the first place. Leaving them with grammar and spelling problems in later life.

in the literary sense i guess? which would actually be true but not a sign of overall intelligence. just their proper english literary IQ is low.
and tbh nobody is gonna excel in everything when it comes to intelligence. people who can't understand any other language than their own are also lower in literary IQ than those who can read other languages, including txt spk, jumbled words. etc. |
