..(insert your own name)?
Had a nice message this morning after id revealed my name and he said 'Ah you look like a *********'
If you dont think you suit your name,, what would you change it too? x |

Her swimming teacher has managed to do it though.. my eyes near popped out my head when i 1st heard it..

Eh, I'm not really a fan of my name. Most people don't refer to me by my name, either, so it's weird when I do hear it.
No one has ever said I don't look like I fit my name, though. I guess someone on here who knows my actual name could tell me if it fits, but very few people on the forums know it so looks like we'll never know! |

I think I suit my name but then I did choose my name myself so I may be biased.
VB didn't like the surname I chose though so we picked one together.
And that is the tale of how I have three passports in three different name.  |

I prefer to use my shortened name, not sure why. But hardly anyone I know uses it anyway as I have a nickname. |

I guess so, my mum certainly thinks so anyway, as she refused to call me what she and my Dad had agreed on to prior to my birth and changed it on seeing me. I would have been called Claire, I think I prefer the name I was given, it's fairly old fashioned and not particularly common. Everyone shortens it, so much so that I never introduce myself as the full version, I'm not bothered either way! |

My name is a shortened version of a longer name. I get asked all the time if I'm really the longer version, or people just presume that my name is shortened by choice.
This would make more sense if you knew my real name |

I understand. A school friend's sister is called Becky and that's her name on her birth certificate. |

When I was at school I was the only one with my name in both junior and senior. It has picked up in popularity now and used alot.
Really strange when I hear it spoken to someone else.
Guess i have grown into it tho.Suits me ? I dunno no one ever said. |
