Rugeley

Prefer the AJS Cadwell. It rides lovely. Shame it's only a 125, but maybe that's it's appeal? Not much good with my fat arse sat on it but still a lovely little bike.

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

Suppose it looks alright, I've had 24 bikes over the years, all stripped down to every last nut & bolt then rebuilt, but think I would sooner chuck ma hard earned Yen somewhere else if I'm totally honest

only 24?

seriously though .... folks are asking the samr price for a 30 year old machine that's done it's engine life in milage ... the heralds are chinese but it seems they guy who imports them is a millionare bike enthusiast. the money he makes from herald isn't his prime motivaion allegedly, he makes his dosh elsewhere. i did some research and they junk a load of the running gear and fit as much british equipment as they can source.

so i'm curious as to what their reliability is like now that they've been on the scene for 3 or 4 years. would they make a decent winter hack or more than that maybe?

Only time will tell if they're reliable or not, dependent on mileage obviously. They may well be functional, as is most stuff coming out of China these days, but has it got any class or style? I think not. I can think of many 250's that would blow it out of the s on that front
