I've just been asked my car registration during a call - I think my accent makes them hear letters I didn't say. Being clever I decided to use phonetic alphabet but my mind went blank and I said Gonads for the G!!!  |

It just came in my head as I looked at the registration as it was stood on my drive and the shape of it looks liked the word gonad! Another game I play as I drive along. Making names up words and sentences from car reg's - mental! |

Well I ordered a Frappacino Mocha and they made a Mango Slushy at Starbucks last week.
I ask for 'a mocha' and often they ring up 'An Americano'.
When in the US - at least 3 or 4 weeks a year, I just order fast food by the number, my Spanish can manage 1,2 or 3 if they are confused by the my accent - which is pretty plain southern English really. |
