Asian is a vast and diverse continent.. there is a clear distinction culturally and ethnically between south and east.
People are entitled to their preferences but it'd be better for the person to define which Asians they're not interested in rather than unilaterally exclude an entire continent. |

On Fab "don't meet Asians" almost always means brown skinned people so you figure the rest. By the way some of the best people I know and have met are brown skinned Asians so racism is down right stupid. |

People have a choice on here. No single guys. No over 45. If they say no asians then that just sits in the same box. I have sent messages to several asians and get deleted. I also get muslim only. BBC only. Etc.
I believe in true equality all people are people. I love diversity and inclusion. Just a shame not all people are the same.
I see people and personality- not size, age, sex, skin colour, religion, or race.

I'm not Asian but as racism happens agaist White people too these days (like in Rochdale with those Muslim groomers regarding white women as filthy Kaffirs) I'll answer from that perspective : I wouldn't even reply. |

Opening myself up to abuse here. Neverertheless in i go with my tin hat on.
I have a preference for white girls. Always have always will. However i have seen some stunning asian ladies and also some stunning black ladies. There will always be someone who comes along that is outside your normal criteria that is just too good to pass up if you have the chance. I dont follow that you cant make exceptions from time to time. Yeah ok i probably wouldnt put no asians on my profile so its kind of a mute point i suppose. But thats what people do and i recall posts from the past where the general feeling has been thats fine its your preference. I dont agree it makes someone a twat or an arsehole if they break their own rule from time to time.

Yet not one would bat an eye lid at the incredibly common line "not looking for single males unless you're exceptional".
I dont see the problem with the position at all.
They don't normally fancy asian people but they do the op.
I dont nornally fancy blokes except for the odd exceptional one should they be offended cause I dont shag a load of ugly blokes before them? |

As the original post suggested, this person does fancy some Asians, so why make a point of saying they don't meet Asians in the first place.

The rejection of people based on ethnicity has been happening for a long time, and whether you state it as preference, it still looks incredibly bigoted and small-minded - in my opinion. |

^^^ this. Feeling the need to express such a preference may not be overtly racist but it does look it.
If people are happy to be seen as such that's up to them.
I just think I'm unlikely to get on with someone happy to appear prejudiced and move on. |

The exact same was as I respond to a females profile that says ' I don't meet single men but you're an exception to the rule'. I won't and simply wish them all the best and just pass over. Too many piss takers and players on fab to get caught messaging and finding out they're not what the say they are.
It's born out of having had two no shows from responding to simular messages.
I may loose out as I know there are some ladies who get hundreds of messages and so they now filter out single men and search themselves. I just accept that as potentially my loss but then again there are many more to search for, message, chat and meet.
It's a risk they take and I'm sure there are many guys who'll respond differently so they don't loose out much. |

Returning member - when here before I met several ladies who's 'preference' was white only, but they still met me as I had engaged then in the correct way/ manner.
For a majority of people it is a non-attraction to Indian men - I get that
But some have been put off by past meets with idiots, I simply restore faith.
Be attentive, be yourself, be the best you can be. Ignore the colour of my skin, ignore the stereotypes, open your mind.
