I'm getting trolled by another profile

I was wondering if anyone could offer advice on what to do?

I won't mention their user name but there is a couple's profile on here (from Bradford) who seem intent on slandering me. From saying I'm fake, to telling other users to send me abusive messages, which people are doing again today. I've no idea why and I don't have a clue who is behind this profile.

I reported their old profile about six months ago, blocked them and now they have come back on another username to do the same.

What can be done? I've blocked them again but I've just had a friend message me saying they're slating me again and urging other Fabbers to send me abusive messages.

Getting a bit boring to be honest. I'm amazed how much time they have?!

Why. I don't see the point in what they're doing?

The best advice I can give (which is mo help because your already doing it) is block them and all who send you an abusive message. Then report them. That's all you can do isn't it?

Firstly sorry it's happening, no-one should have to suffer that kind of thing, this site is supposed to be about fun for gawds sake!!

Only advice I can offer is to report to admin, and gather as much evidence as you can to back up their claim. If it's as bad as you say, admin should be able to trace IP addresses and email addresses to at least try and block them from the site (although there are of course ways round that).

why would somebody go through such elaborate steps to slate you though ,I do find things like this bizarre

I find it strange too. This profile has actually contacted my veris accusing them of being asked to give fake veris? Very very strange and not normal behaviour.

Thank you...I can no longer report them as I blocked them a couple of weeks back. It doesn't let you contact admin if the profile isn't visible?

I logged in today to a few messages having a go at me, as apparently this couple has put up that I'm a fake again! Odd!

Unfortunately threads like this will probably only make things worse. Report them to admin and ask the friends who are keeping you informed to do the same.

First thing I would do is make your veris and friend list private for now

It's just getting a bit tiring. I hear what you're saying and that's what I keep doing. I guess I just wonde_ed if anyone had gone through a similar thing.

Can always unblock to report and then re-block?

"On the desktop version you can click on the profile and you'll see the "You can't view this profile" message.

Go to the blue menu on the left of the page and you still have the "Report User" and "Block User" buttons.

On the mobile version you can click on the profile and you'll see the "You can't view this profile" message.

Top right of the page, you'll see the Menu button, click that and you still have the "Report User" and "Block User" buttons."

Actually I've just checked and from the mobile site you can still report if you've blocked.

Click on the username from the block list. Top right corner are three bars, click on that and "Report User" is an option

I've had a similar situation recently did report it but there is only so much admin can do as I imagine it's not the easiest thing to prove from their standpoint

Luckily for me I've rode it out and it all appears to have stopped, this coincides with the user I was suspicious of it being leaving the site

The best advice I can give is keep reporting where you feel it's warranted and ride it out, you know exactly what you're about and so do the people that have met you, and anyone that wants to write you off on the hear say of others aren't worth bothering with

Actually I've just checked and from the mobile site you can still report if you've blocked.

Click on the username from the block list. Top right corner are three bars, click on that and "Report User" is an option

If it was me going through what you are (unlikely in the extreme)

I think i might reply to those accusers just simply asking them to get the perpetrator to give them proof.

I'm guessing you may have turned someone down that didn't like that?

I do. There's obviously some idiots about. And they'll find their way in here. I find it amzing that all you have is a block button as protection from them, and it appears that it isn't enough. Good luck Mrs Robinson...here's to you

There was a couple in the South West who abused many couples online due to having a weird hat_ed to one particular couple. He threatened them with coming after their family online etc. Evidence was taken to police and he was dealt with. They dont take kindly to online abuse.

You can unblock first, report, block again. Or simply sent their username to admin.

If this thing persist, you may have a case for criminal charges, harassment or stalking.

Well, complaining to the police may a bit awkward

You have verifications, though they look a bit..hmm... a bit unconvincing, to pit it mildly, but on the face of it, I doubt many will think you are a fake.

If nothing else help there's one thing you can do. Meet me and I'll verify you.

(I'm actually authorised to certify notarial documents. No joke)

More than 2 to be exact.

The count starts from the moment you tell them clearly to stop contacting you in any way.

Also, threaten them that you'll report them to the police the next time they message you and that you aren't ashamed to reveal your affiliation with a sex site.

I'm sorry to hear this OP. It must be horrible and rather boring and tedious for you. People troll for many reasons, bo_edom, insecurity and jealousy.

Remember who you are and that you don't deserve it and do all you've done. It's these people who have sad little lives and not much going for them...not you x
