Dear Friends Fabbers and Forumites
I would like to begin by apologising to all my chums for not messaging enough or posting in this jolly old forum of ours.
Pooch and I have just been ever so busy sausages, with work and a certain election. No I shan’t tell you which side I bat for it’s between the ballot box and who ever pooch tells me to vote for.
We have had some simply splendid wanders too, including a paddle in the sea which was refreshing and the water temperature a tad let’s say bracing. I love our wanders at this time of year. The gorse on the hills its scent always makes me feel summer is here. Last night was rather delicious , a coastal walk and short sleeves too. The sun kissing the skin, the most wonderful feeling. Makes a chap, and Pooch , happy to be alive. We sat and watches the sun melt into the sea, accompanied by some rather fantastic music. Shine on You Crazy Diamond a superb sunset song.
So chaps her is your challenge , should you wish to accept , and I can’t see why not as its rather splendid .
I will set the scene, your sitting on a cliff top or beach, the sun is slowly sinking in the west. The final rays glistening on the mill pond calm waters what would be your sunset music ?
Have a splendid evening chums

"Vaughan Williams: The Lark Ascending
a very personal favorite of pooch and I
I would have thought if a Lark was ascending, it would have been sunrise music? Or am I being a tad pedantic here "
Nearly said the same, but was confuddled by the same pedantic point. |

I once had a fabulous holiday on Lindos, and as we sat on the rooftops watching the sun go down over the bay every night the hippie restaurant across the bay used to put on John Michelle Jarre which wafted on the breeze...was heavenly, I must go back one day. |

"The slow build of either Elgar's Nimrod from the Enigma Variations or Handel's Zadok the Priest for me. (Geek). "
Anything played by the lovely Khatia Buniatishvili, but in particular Chopin's piano concerto No2 in F minor
Or Ray Davies Waterloo sunset |

"Vaughan Williams: The Lark Ascending
This was played at my Nan's funeral - it's a beautiful piece! "
when pooch was a young pup, we used to go out in to the fields just before sunset. the grass was long and he was a little bouncy fellow. the swifts and swollows in his wake. he would play for ages . as I layed out in the grass . then we would have a cuddle. that music always reminds me of that time . Its a wonderful happy memory . I can still see that little puppy now whilst every one sees a big pooch .
he was and still is beautiful . and when I hear that piece of music its hard not to get a tear in they eye, and I have to go give him the biggest cwtch |

"Franciose Hardy - Reve
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_VHS1bW-rL8
I'm a HUGE fan of hers!!"
I'm slowly working my way through her early 70's records. 'La Question' is one of my favourite ever albums! every song has the same sensual and intimate mood. Just perfect. In fact that whole album is perfect for warm summer nights!
I do love a bit of French pop, Serge Gsinsbourg is another favourite.
She has a fairly large and daunting back catalogue so If there's any albums in particular you can recommend by her please throw 'em at me
