Well people have needed to vent their spleens about unattractive willies, fandangos, nipples etc. How about acknowledging that we see things on Planet Fab every day, be they pictures or musings of a written form which aren't to our liking and we manage to move by them and onto something more pleasing without the need to rebuff people for it in the forums. Fab and let fab, have a little decorum peeps.

I agree, with the no body-shaming. Yes!

Not sure if you meant this, but where I (just my opinion) personally disagree with simply ignoring, is when I see a written comment that I strongly disagree with (perhaps an "-ist" attitude or an attack on a poster, I warrant I don't police the site looking for things I mean if I note something that I feel moved to challenge) then there's something that doesn't sit right with me in simply ignoring and letting it sit there permanent in its written form unchallenged. So I will counter it. Just so someone else coming across it -- let's say it is body-shaming -- who may be hurt by it, or fall into the category being slated, is aware that not everyone thinks that is acceptable. And yes, I'd do this in real life not just from the safety of a keyboard. What I wouldn't do is attack someone over PM about it - my view is to challenge, query and clarify. And if I get it wrong, or overstep or upset myself I am perfectly willing to apologise if I in turn, have caused hurt.

Sorry, just wanted to clarify that. But yes, on the whole I agree with your post.

And on the other hand... every now and then we stumble across a profile and can't help keep looking at it

The stuff that's not to our taste is easy to pass by and forget, the stuff that is to our taste .... very distracting

The people that post on the forums are the minority on the site.

So the vast majority of users do just click off a profile not to thier liking and look elsewhere. Xx

No, I'm all for freedom of speech when done in a balanced manner, just rather tired of the trend for terribly catty and uncalled for body shaming.

If someone says something wrong I need to say something in reply I am not as good as they are.

People saying wrong things or things I disagree with online is literally the worst thing on earth.

I would say the same for threads and posts that people find offensive. If the bodyshaming threads were ignored by all those who find them offensive, they'd very quickly fizzle out. And if they don't, just leave them to it. As long as they are not breaking forum rules.

I used to challenge deliberate nastiness more often. It becomes disheartening after a while to do so. It also seems to come in cycles and the forum is apparently in one at the moment, hopefully short-lived.

Mrs"

I sometimes find it difficult to sit back and ignore certain comments. However, I do think there are ways to diplomatically write replies to posts you don't agree with.

If someone is a cock op, I have to tell them. It's not my nature to ignore nastiness and blatant dickish behaviour.

I can ignore idiots though.

People can voice any opinion they like. But they better be prepared to deal with the consequences and be an adult.

I'd like to point out that the nipple thread was actually a discussion on nipple play with a mere tongue in cheek reference to the current trend for body-shaming threads. It quickly drew the wrath of people who were concerned that someone might say something offensive (what thread doesn't run the risk of having something offensive being said?). The only thing offensive said on it was, as a result, an unnecessary insult to people's intelligence for possibly not being able to understand the concept of humour So there's another thing to love about Fab - people's readiness to judge without checking the facts

Indeed

Fortunately we all have different tastes. Just because I'm not a fan of a certain type of body I certainly wouldn't start a thread about it

Just saying x
