After 5 years, it still saddens me a bit that this theme park closed down back in 2012 and has remained abandoned with only the one roller coaster Knightmare left to rot.
I remember me and the family (mum, dad and brother) used to get season passes there every year till its closure. It was always good going there every Sunday to let our hair down and have a good time.
I will always cherish the memories I had there mainly because it was where I overcame my fear of roller coasters for which I am glad I did as since I went on the Knightmare coaster back in 2008, I've become quite a roller coaster enthusiast and have been on many amazing rides over the years.
Does anyone here have any fond memories of this old theme park they would like to share? |

Yeah. It was always fun watching the jousting tournament.
I remember listening to music on my mp3 player every time on each ride I went on at Camelot. For example, on the Dragon Flyer, I would listen to Bastian's Happy Flight from The Neverending Story and on The Dungeons of Doom, I would listen to the Dual theme from the Dual ride at Alton Towers. |

You remember it much better than me and I must say I confuse some of the memories with Gulliver's world in Warrington. It's now 12 or 13 years ago so both experiences with my son were close together. |

"oh what. I didn't know this. Lots of memories of Camelot "
Yeah. The reason why it closed down back in 2012 was due to a low visitor count to the park due to a combination of bad weather, the Queen's Jubilee and the 2012 olympics |

Yeah. I know that all the rides (apart from Knightmare) have gone to other parks in the UK. I know that some rides have gone to Pleasureland at Southport and some rides have gone to the Gulliver's theme parks. |
