I just wondered if there were any words of advice from fellow peers....on the best way forward when making the initial contact with people....your wise words will be greatly appreciated.... |

erm would suggest something creative, funny, to the point that is personal to that person. Perhaps comment of a photo or make a reference to their profile text. Its very much a personal thing,, that's the kind of message id prefer anyway |

winks can be pointless especially if someone says dont want winks, i encourage them as then know people like my profile and want to chat and hopefully from that meet.
always be polite in your messages and dont cut and paste, we all have done it when being lazy, it shows you are lazy and will be when meet up a little effort goes alongway. dont scatter gun but target the right people for you and be honest about who and what you are bi straight tv etc.
good luck |

Just be yourself!!
Winks are ok, I just delete them myself, but do have a look at the profile, if I like the look of the profile pic, also have been known to wink back!!!
They are a good ice breaker |

Well i tend not to take notice of winks but some do. Also a message shouldn't be war and peace, it should be specific to who you are sending it to and also if someone sends one they have read my profile and noted distance, age limits etc. After that you just have to make it individual and interesting and that has to come from you. |

Do not send one of them cut and paste letters like some do here ....... puts people right of meeting if thay feel your sending it out to everyone same lettter. Take time to wright 4 or 5 lines and like some others say be respectfull ... and truthfull about what your looking for xx |

I like threads when people ask for good advice in a good way! Top marks!
Read the profiles and if you're not what the person is looking for then don't contact them cause "if you don't ask, you don't get", take their preferences on board and find someone who does have boxes you can tick. |

Make up a really long generic message with some googled porn in it and cut and paste to everyone you can
Ok seriously pay people complements, read profiles and comment on things and be yourself because that's who they want to meet. |
