I've spent a very large part of my life thinking that. I literally only ever looked in a mirror for the minimum time it took to check for food in my teeth.
I've managed to progress to 'I suppose you'll do' in more recent years but still can't admire myself - my face never looks 'right' |

"Sometimes I have a mental image of myself in my head as looking alright and then I catch sight in a mirror and the reality is disappointing. "
That's *exactly* how I feel, you worded it much better than me ... |

If I was a lass I'd definitely skip me by and move on to the next person. I'm never going to be one of those people that others think 'hello, he's a bit of alright' or nudge their mate as though to say 'check him out!'
But I've known that and accepted that from an early age and we are what we are and we have to make the best of what we've got!
Life's too short to worry about such things so just accept who you are and go enjoy it as much as you can! |

I have many days like that and haven't ruled out a brow lift at some point in next few years. I also have dermatitis on my face in areas so it's also a problem |

I do have a little bit of body dysmorphia so often look in the mirror and don't like what I see.
I've been trying hard to change that and now accept that I'm ok. X |

I often thought I have reverse body dismorphia...what I see in the mirror bodywise is much better than reality |

Many a time I have caught a look at myself and I have literally gasped at how rough I have looked. But I really do believe my mood affects my perception of myself massively. When I am chipper and upbeat I don't get nearly so critical of myself though. So that may be the biggest factor there. |

Look around..
You see beautiful people with beautiful people
You see ugly people with ugly people
You see beautiful people with ugly people.
I think that means we individually worry too much. Vast majority of people don't just go for looks |

"I think the UK needs to take some of America's self-esteem. We have too much, you have too little....I think its time to even things out. "
Oh, I have plenty of self esteem. In my head I'm gorgeous. In the mirror, not so much. The two balance out. |

I think I'm the same. In pics or the mirror I don't look too bad but when I look down the reality just doesn't look the same at all. |
