So, Ive been staying with my parents for the past few days and I'm starting to miss home. I started to think what home means and what exactly am I missing?
I guess my home is my own space, it reflects my character and I feel completely comfortable there.
I also really miss my big armchair I sit in to read.
What does home mean to you and what thing do you miss the most when youre not there? |

I like my own space at times, just going home and crashing on sofa and watching tv can be bliss.
And there is the added bonus having people round and doing what you want without nosey parents getting involved |

Having travelled extensively and worked for many years abroad..away from parents siblings and friends my 'home ' perspective may be different from most though may have some of the same sentiments. Home is where I'm content with friends or family around. Never fixed to a place more an inner sense of peace and not feeling a tourist, more a local. So this changes depending on season/walk in life. With family spread out around the world and kids who have moved it's become a way of life....and wouldn't change it. The bonus of this is I've close friends across the wotld. |

I get this. Its about where you feel content at that time. Where I now love my own space I used to feel at home living with a friend because I was content. I lived in a campervan for 6 months, it wasn't a house but it was most definitely a home. |

Home is where one feels safe. For some it's in the comfort of a place or familar things or people who are close...a combination maybe. I can sometimes find that in a new place...can be the sense of oneness....the practice of mindfulness comes to mind when thinking about that. |
