Because men and women are just different. Men more visual and on average more aggressively sexual.

i was actually thinking it's coz women have pretty much been made to carry burdens that are heavier than mens.
like we are expected to bring up a family on our own, in poverty if has to be, if men walk away and there's no repercussions to that for men coz it's all been laid on the woman.
now go make a topic asking what you think about women who have sexual meets while their children are in the house? go on... (or just search for one and look at the replies) women with children are not supposed to be sexual beings coz it's selfish. it's selfish to have children and your own needs.
there's a high amount of women on here who have older children, and more free time, and this seems to correlate with what i've just said.
if you've been here a while, like i have, you'll notice the difference in gripes men and women have. men seem to moan about women not wanting to meet them, women moan too many want to meet them.this is partly down to the men/women ratio but it's also down to women are more fussy than men and do not have as wide of a variety of men to choose from than men have of women.
men do not write out profiles like women do, they do not offer us as much information to make choices from than women do, their pics are often not showing anything more than dick and not many woman don't show more than their boobs but even if they only showed them (or nothing at all) men would still chance messaging them anyway whereas women are less likely to do the same with men.

I mean, technically that's a kind of relationship. But I don't think its the kind most women want.
I always read on here how women are made to feel bad by society for wanting or liking sex. That if only society were more open to women's sexual exploration then women would be just as free as men are. But I have a lot of friends who are women and they want marriage, a baby, a house....they don't want sex with a different guy each week or a "relationship" with a man where they meet up for sex and she goes home to her own apartment alone every night. The majority, anyway. And its what they want....not just what society is telling them to want. |

It's a word with many definitions which leads to confusion....
Every type of friendship is to me is a type of relationship that should merit basic things like loyalty and respect, even if there is no obligation or emotional involvement.
By the time there is a deeper emotional involvement there is a 'duty of care', and I feel most women would like what that normally brings with it - trust, consistency, dependability etc are important to them, even if it is not part of a long term commitment. D/s relationships for instance require that.
