Did they mean in the sense of a larger fit rather than a 10 being large? They have a plus size section that starts at a size 16, so they clearly don't think that a size 10 is plus size. |

Think it was a particular outfit. |

"I can only guess the outfit comes in only three sizes . So if a six is small , an eight is medium and a ten is large ?
If this isn't the case then it's crazy to use this description .
"
It was that. But wouldn't a 6 be a xxs, 8 a xs, and 10 a s or whatever? |

It's crazy .... where 'large' (whatever, exactly, that is anyway) is so often presented as being undesirable, it's small wonder that so many teen girls and younger women, in particular, end up with body issues and eating disorders even though they're remarkably slim by most people's standards. I have a teen daughter who gets very upset when she has to wear something labelled 'large', because of the negative connotations, even though she's not!
I just wish that clothing sizes could be properly standardized across retailers in the UK so you could go into any store and feel confident that anything you picked in your particular size would more or less fit. Even within a single store (H&M for example) you get ridiculous differences between items all labelled as 'small' or whatever |

It certainly would in my mind , but if there are only three sizes made then their description must make sense to them I guess . |

"Sounds like an Americanism they've adopted... not that it makes it any better. Bloody ridiculous."
Nah. Americans would go in the opposite direction....a 10 would be extra-small. |
