Such sad news to hear of the passing of Chris Cornell the lead singer of Soundgarden
This is one of my most favourite songs he sang an wore for the band Temple of the Dog

No way!!!  Incredibly sad news  Chris Cornell was my absolute favourite male vocalist. That man had the most incredible range and could belt out a screaming rock fueled guitar blast of a song, and then go all the way back down to melancholic and gentle accoustic moods. Damn... that's really got me  |

Oh my goodness. That was a shock.
I had the pleasure of seeing Chris with Audioslave and he was an excellent showman. I love his music and his voice. Mr Cornell take a bow. |

Soundgarden is probably the "essential" Cornell. Try "Black Hole Sun" and "Jesus Christ Pose." The latter really showcases what a formidable voice he had.

Hmmm on reflection Soundgarden may be a little heavy for you too then. His solo work is much more accessible, but I'm not a big fan of it tbh. Try some Temple of the Dog. "Say Hello to Heaven" gives me goosebumps, and his backup vocal on "Hunger Strike" is raw emotion.
