I'm natural at the moment - I'd actually ending up damaging my skin quite badly through trying to be perpetually smooth, and got to the point where I didn't want any more scars, horrible painful ingrown hairs etc. The attitude I'm trying to adopt right now is that I'll be smooth when *I* want to be, and not when it's *expected* of me.

However, I put a pic up last night and actually felt very exposed doing so, which is crazy when I'm not doing anything 'wrong' but I'm kind of struggling because of the negativity I've seen here (and sometimes experienced in the past) towards women with hair. Like, preferences are fine, but I've seen some really nasty remarks and therefore feel very self conscious

Well I, for one, think it's a gorgeous photo .

I'm fine with smooth, but do think more natural is amazing - I've said this to someone else in this thread a few times.

There are parallels with my experience - I got quite self-conscious for a will because I was a hairy guy. I felt most women wanted smooth.

Finally, I decided to be comfortable with it an see it as an asset (though I do trim!). Wouldn't swap it for the world now.

We get these types of comments regularly, but if those types of people think we're dirty, smells, look discusting or just yucky, then we'd never want those in our private lifestyle anyway.

My hair is and will be staying natural. When i've posted pics that hint at the bush, i've had a LOT of positive comments. Pubic hair is seen as something of a treat these days by some men.

And those who don't like it? Well they don't have to look or meet me, so everyone is happy.

Agreed, but you're (more than) kind of implying that if you have hair you must be literally dirty ... which is exactly the sort of derogatory remark I was thinking of when I wrote upthread and quite obviously doesn't apply to all women with hair!

You could just as easily have had the misfortune to meet someone with poor personal hygiene who was completely smooth ...

By saying that from now on you're therefore only going to meet trimmed or shaved women, you *are* therefore implying that hair = dirt !!

Obviously you're entitled to meet whoever you want to but don't you see the way you've explained your preference suggests you think there's a higher risk of hairy women being unhygienic, and that simply isn't true. You were very unlucky but that's down to attitude and not hair ?!

my attitude is absolutely fine and yes I can see that it might look that way but you also have jumped to a conclusion pf your own as I definitely did not meen it the way you have just twisted it.

I was talking about the attitude - towards cleanliness - of your meets, not yours ... and maintain you were unlucky!!

And I have *not* twisted anything you said. I didn't need to, the implication's quite clear.

It's never my intention to pick holes in anyone's posts (though I'm often tempted, it would take all day ...) but I don't like to see any form of body shaming going on and, intentional or not, that's the effect your previous posts had unfortunately. When I have hair I'm absolutely fine with people passing me by because it's not their thing - visually or tactilely - but actually, it's pretty unpleasant to be rejected on the basis that some people would regard me as automatically unclean. I'm simply trying to dispel that misconception by having a sensible discussion about it and pointing out that poor hygiene can be found everywhere! Hair has nothing to do with it.

I'm not going to reply to you again on this thread because I really don't want an argument for argument's sake

I'm not going to reply to you again on this thread because I really don't want an argument for argument's sake "

You wouldn't care if it was a female saying what he said. Nice to get your angst put on men though.

"Cleanliness costs nothing

Agreed, but you're (more than) kind of implying that if you have hair you must be literally dirty ... which is exactly the sort of derogatory remark I was thinking of when I wrote upthread and quite obviously doesn't apply to all women with hair!

You could just as easily have had the misfortune to meet someone with poor personal hygiene who was completely smooth ... jumping the gun a bit there mate. Where did I say all women with pubic hair are dirty?

I only said after the last two meets I will be sticking to neatly trimmed or shaved thanks to two very unhygienic women.

You assumed wrong and then said I was without manners......

I prefer a nice bush as it goes but will be thinnking twice on whether I would go for another one in tbe near future.

You said "Didn't think I minded a nice bush until my last two meets, put off for life is an understatement" and then followed that up by saying cleanliness costs nothing so it didn't take too much working out to guess the women you'd met were grubby.

I'm so sorry I can't put in to writing exactly what I ment. I have suffered since a child with extremely bad dyslexia and one of my most frustrating down falls is not being able to put forward my exact meaning correctly.

Waw, honestly can't be bothered with this site as everyone just wants to pick holes in others posts.

I'll put it this way yes I will be going for trimmed or shaved as the last two (not all women) where unclean and yes that would probably put off the best of people, am I right?

Is that more to your liking mr and mrs fab police?

I was talking about the attitude - towards cleanliness - of your meets, not yours ... and maintain you were unlucky!!

And I have *not* twisted anything you said. I didn't need to, the implication's quite clear.

My response would have been *exactly* the same if a female had said what he did actually. In fact, some of the body shaming remarks I can remember seeing on similar threads in the past did indeed come from women.

Unlike *some* people in this forum (and I happen to have a long memory for the repeated tone of many posters' past threads, no matter what their user name is now ... ) I see people as individuals and react to them on the basis of what they say, rather than their sex.

I have no axe to grind with men as a group whatsoever. I like men generally. Very much. I just don't like body shaming - or anything which can be perceived as such - whichever sex it comes from.

"I'm natural at the moment - I'd actually ending up damaging my skin quite badly through trying to be perpetually smooth, and got to the point where I didn't want any more scars, horrible painful ingrown hairs etc.

We get these types of comments regularly, but if those types of people think we're dirty, smells, look discusting or just yucky, then we'd never want those in our private lifestyle anyway.

Agreed. I've seen "hair is for apes" . Shocking lack of acceptance.

I've always considered myself part ape!

I draw the line at slinging my own poop at people though..."

I'm tempted on occasion

absolutely nothing wrong with your bush, show it with pride as there are lots of people out there that enjoy hairy women, the trend is slowly commeing back we are seeing more women with trimmed and full bush most men like it but wont openly admit to it as they feel it may harm the chances of meeting the so called normal shaven brigade
