Pretty, pretty things....

So after a few disappointing days over which I've been stood up, let down, and generally messed around, I decided to cheer myself up with a few sexy online purchases to add to my lingerie collection....
What do you do to give your spirits a lift? |

Y'know I had a little think about this and I can't really think of an answer. Maybe a trip out or a walk somewhere.
I've realised I'm less materialistic than I used to be - there's literally nothing I can think of that I want, I've kind of got everything I need.
I got some money for Christmas and I've kept the cash separate for when I see something I want to spend it on. It's mid-May and it's still sat there, untouched! |

I got stood up last week so I feel for you op. But I found friends on here got me over that. Friends off here always cheer me up.
I play my guitar to escape and switch my mind if things that bug me. That usually works for me. Buying things gets me angry at the prices. |

"I need to find something at the moment
Go for a run that'll help.
I drive with my music going. Or go to the gym.
I've done that. Next stop is eating "
Carbs!
But usually a ride or a dance or a chat with my favourite fella. |

"It's totally ghey but currently a chat with Jim is a surefire way to cheer me up.
Oh I do this, not with Jim though
we are ghey. "
But you can do it with Jim too, I hasten to point out! I've no "dibs" on him, and have no issue with anyone else enjoying his splendidness --obviously he has to consent -- but you know what I mean. I'm just gheying over the fact I think he's chuffing wonderful. |

Bought some blueberries yesterday - totally tasteless, is that normal? "

I eat, and not good food, general rubbish, take always, pizzas, chocolate. I have quite a bad emotional attachment to food and when I'm stressed or sad, I eat and eat and eat. |

I know, I just wanted to clarify that I wasn't intending to "own" him by my comment. Which I know *you* already know. Just thought it was worth pointing out, but now I'm overthinking. Ha! |

I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but going to the gym really helps if I'm a bit down in the dumps. Music is always a good pick me up for me too. I'm also finding my songwriting/poetic mojo returning. So I find that a good way of expressing my emotions too. |

Walk/run and music seem to be the most common solutions... Both boxes ticked already today
Glad to see some of the ladies share my lingerie habit
Chat with the bestie would be lovely... If he wasn't one of the problems at the moment... So I'll skip that one....
Cake and icecream also sound good... might look into that |

When I'm feeling down, I have a chat & laugh with friends - that usually perks me up.
"I buy expensive fruits, like raspberries "
Try growing your own. Can't beat a nice fruity little bush, which you can nibble on whenever you like

This sounds like me. When people give me cheques for xmas or birthdays, I file them in a drawer labelled 'aww - thanks', knowing I'll never cash them.
Even though there's nothing I lust for, it can still be exciting, when there's something good, arriving in the post. |

Don't try this at home, unless you have an open face helmet"
Luckily I've had plenty of practice |
