What exactly is it for?
I've been confused since I joined.
I get that you can add people who you'd like to see updates but doesn't the friends list do that? I can't see it serves any purpose at all.
Any help out there?

It's my to do list  Also, if I see a profile but don't have time to message them, I'll add them to the hotlist for later. The lucky ones graduate to my friend list  |

Hotlist is for people who's pics I want to see but not necessarily meet.
Pretty sure sending a friends request to every female I like the look of wouldn't be a good idea either. |

Its a "wish" or an "if only" list. Also gives you the ability to see the latest updates from someone without searching.
Its fun to put people on the "pedestal" list...... |

For us:
Perving
People with funny/interesting status updates.
A maybe list, to keep an eye on them in case they put dodgy status updates on.
Also, as a couple one of us might want to show a profile to the other, so the hotlist is a good 'holding ground' |

I stick people in there for all sorts of reasons (sometimes I have no idea why they're there months later  ).
Those I fancy from afar (and am usually too cowardly to tell), those whose statuses amuse me, those who I don't fancy but think are interesting nonetheless, those with hilarious pictures, or really clever/arty pics, and a whole load of what-hell-was-I-thinking types ... |

I don't know either. It's like most things. Your given a tool. It's up to you if you use it, and some use the tool for something completely different to what it was Intended.
Sone throw the tool in a drawer because it's useless. |

I usually only contact people when they are online and I have time to write them a nice, relevant message.
So if they're not online, or I'm in a hurry they go onto my hotlist. Should they subsequently become a friend, or they show no interest in me (heaven forbid, how dare they!?! Lol) then I remove them.
Occasionally, you may also go on my hotlist if I'm outside your age range and unable to contact you. Maybe you will see my interest if I keep looking at your profile and Fabbing all your lovely pics and just maybe, you will contact me before another flying pig goes past the window? But you have to be pretty tempting to get that amount of unrequited attention from me. |

I put people on my hotlist that i want to avoid or people who have been a problem. I do this so i can find their profile easily and keep an eye on them and avoid being at a club at the same time. |

A person may not accept your Friends Request, whereas you can add a person to your Hotlist and then you can see what they were last on, or any Status update that they add. |

A person may not accept your Friends Request, whereas you can add a person to your Hotlist and then you can see what they were last on, or any Status update that they add. "

My hotlist is mainly for folk I've talked to who meet my criteria and seemed to have decent chat. Makes it easier to check so I can them out from the names I recognise just because they are persistent... |

Same here to be fair!
My hotlist is two pronged tbh op!
First and foremost there are super hot chaps and couples who I've met and want to meet again - or would like to meet. If they're on the hotlist (unless they Perve in  mode like me!) you can see when they view your profile - which is useful to know (ie if someone views you pretty much every day then you can assume they're interested! )
Secondly there are a few who are on there for opposite reasons - we really don't get on and I want to keep an eye on their statuses to make sure we're not in the same place at the same time!

Hit list. ..people to generally avoid but able to keep an eye on them...can't see what they're up to if blocked.
Block list is permanent.
Friends list are those I have met or would like to meet. |

I mainly use it for newbies in my area.
When they start they don't tend to put a full bio or pictures up. I hit list them and then wait a couple of week to see what they look like then message them |
