Brighton - even Hove!

A guy on here who is age 21 is likely to be around in the year 2080.

What tech / new inventions / progression so you think he will see in the year 2080?

Definitely real life accurate 3D films - totally immersive

My uncle, who is almost 90, is fucking convinced that my generation will be using jet packs as a form of regular transport. I mean...really.

You would have thought that they might have got round to producing a toaster that actually does both sides evenly without the need to turn your bread round halfway through

I'd certainly expect electric, driverless cars to be everywhere and flawless.

If 3D printing is where the internet was in the 1960's. Then 3D and 4D printing of 2080 will be what the world wide web is to us in 2017. Printing clothes and household items will be the norm. I'd also expect some big breakthroughs after 2050 in food being printed.

Brain-computer interface will the sequel to the internet. Mind to mind commuication, communicating with animals and children like never before, your wife knowing what you are thinking etc...

Definitely Smell-e-Vision and by then it would have filtered down to personal communication, so sending a message could include scented attachments. Beware of opening anything from an unknown sender, especially on some of these adult sites.

Wives usually know things like that now and have done for centuries.

Ah, female intuition. The only difference is some future Bill Gates, who hasn't even been born yet, will basically code it and become a trillionaire.

Fake profiles will be a thing of the past on the new style internet because of stricter rules and regulations imposed by the global internet authorities, introduced after degrading standards in its early years.

Oh, who am I kidding? It's supposed to be the future, not a fantasy alternate reality.

reminded me of when i was at junior school - we had to say what we thought life would be like in the year 2000 - silver suits - and eating pills not food was the kind of things we came up with - not reached that stage yet
