When im online, when I post a new pic, if im in chat or active in the forums. Sometimes just for no reason.
I find it weirder when my inbox is quiet, Ive never noticed a pattern for that! |

I came online to 82 messages today after not having been on for around eight hours.
The only thing that changes due to my activity on here is my page views and the fabs on my pictures. |

i do have age filters on and shrink them if the messages get too much. so even with filterson you can get a lot. think i shrank them down to 38-41 yrs last time they were open. |

I have filters on and still get a lot of messages.
I think that a lot of it depends on the pictures to be honest. Not to sound sexist in any way but men can be dogs -
when they see something they want, it's like a toy they are determined to play with. |

Nah, I'm not bombarded. I filter up when I want to.
Regardless of my activity on here or my photos displayed, I tend not to get bombarded.
I did get a small tidal wave of messages after someone was bitching about me. That was exciting. |

Just thinking about it I also don't see it as a problem or that im being "bombarded".
Yes I get a fair few messages but the people who send them don't know how many I already have. The word suggests its a deliberate effort to fill someones inbox.
My filters are set to the age range and type of person Id like to meet so im happy to receive messages from people fitting those as long as they are polite and respectful and understand im under no obligation to reply. |

My filters don't keep everyone out, just the ones I'm unlikely to be interested in reading a message from.

I used to be 'bombarded' when I first joined until I learned how to use filters. Now they're quite tight I don't get as many messages. I get more when I've put a pic on or updated my status. Usually I get a few as soon as I log on, like they're waiting to pounce  |

I unblock men when I want to be contacted; I don't do the searching, it gives me a headache. I still use the filters and age range. |

I don't really use filters (bar the fact I think I set an age one). I get a constant stream of messages - it will go up a little when I am online, particularly if online evening/night but the stream or trickle is constant regardless. It's not really a bombardment but I always have messages. Thing is I tend to only interact with forum people about specific things, so my rule of thumb is simply to delete en masse. I scan the message/avatar as I go through deleting, without opening the full message, and occasionally open if something catches my eye of interest - this may be either positive or negative. I do answer some. I can be a little perverse at times in answering some where I get a message such as "Blah blah Spanish girl" or "Blah blah Jewish girl" which happens an incredible amount. I correct them saying I am neither Spanish or Jewish - merely because I find fascinating that someone would tell and not ask. Or I may answer if I get the frequent "You are not shy" (I point out in my profile that I am shy), and I like to thank them for exposing me as a liar, and that I really appreciate that. I'm wittering and I've forgotten the OP - yes the constant messages is constant and there are fractional peaks when online at certain times, or when you've posted in the forum or when you've posted a new pic. If it felt unmanageable or if I felt that I had to reply to all then I'd filter up tighter. However, I enjoy some of the crasser emails for comedy value so its all good.  |
