I've been dogging for 12 years and the past year has been rubbish. It's really died off. Just wondering why is has? Does anyone here still go out dogging?

We still go but find it very hard to get any luck,

We have seen over the years the more internet activity, the less people out dogging.

But were dogging sites every really busy? I think they were all over-hyped, but no one ever knew the truth. With the advent of internet forums, people discover the truth now more easily.

They used to be very busy, and a good mix of couples to singles

If you go back 10+ years

Boy racers, gay guys, police awareness you could say that it's own popularity killed dogging? Lol

I would add my dogging joke to this thread but every time I do either no one gets it or it's a bit too crass to be funny.

There's a couple on fab, who say on their profile where they're going to be when they're dogging.

Yeh....wise move guys. What could possibly go wrong?

North Bucks

All the reasons above and also not to mention the people who take it a bit far by happily banging away without discretion in front of people who use these areas for more legit family activities.

Also litter seen some disgusting things left behind on my bike rides in some lay-bys.

I hasten to add the ones who take care with their acitivities should not be associated with the above.

Both the above bring the Fuzz and Press attention.

From our point of view the guys got too pushy, too many in the groups and too intimidating as a result, and we we're only looking for watchers, and we never saw other couples.

Before the internet dogging was the only way a lot people hooked up but now you can make contact online.

We do still go out regular but are careful of the places we visit.

If we see somewhere advertised we stay away as we have seen what happens

We don't get no where near as much fun as we have in the past which is a shame but kinda got used to it now.

Pushy aggressive single guys aren't something we find thankfully, maybe because we are careful of where we go.

Cheaper and more comfortable but not as exciting.

Some of our best nights out have been sub zero temperature with snow around

I've always wanted to get into dogging but have honestly never found a place or if I did find a place listed online nothing ever happened there!

Is it purely word of mouth? Is there anyone who could pass the word onto me!! I'm in London and Kent

A friend of mine used to go regularly around Plymouth, mainly on Dartmoor. He said everyone should try it at least once. I've always been curious, but have never tried it. The thought of going into that sort of situation surrounded by strangers is daunting. At least on here you can chat with people and sound them out.

Or am I missing the point? Is the unknown part of the thrill?

For us it's the unknown. You never know who you will meet or where.

You can still pick and choose who you talk, play with and there's zero pressure to do anything if you don't feel comfortable.

And we have never seen anyone wearing a rabbit or foxes mask

I know this is a circular discussion but where do I get word of mouth if I don't know anyone locally into it? Any ideas on how to find out would be appreciated!

I've always wanted to go but put off by the cops and trapsing out in the middle of the night and not stumbling across anything. Plus it's hard to find out where the spots are.

It is hard these days to find spots because a lot are dead.

Unless your naked and doing something naughty the cops shouldn't bother you

Dogging is not illegal but what you do while dogging maybe.

Be sensible and you'll be fine

A good few years back I thought I must try this

Off out I went to a supposedly good late night site, after 30 mins of just sitting there in my car with my cock out, I thought is this it?

I had the wrong place, I did see a bloke walk his dog though, so technically....

If we do let people know, how do we know they are there for dogging and to not ruin it for others

Would rather have a quiet night than a bad night any day

These days we tend to arrange it through FAB as more of a carpark meet, than true dogging, still hard to get people to attend though, we have had some luck lately with other couples, reckon the biggest cause of decline has been cam rooms, people are getting their exhibitionist/voyeur jollies from the comfort of their armchairs, nothing quite like an outdoor play to really get your heart pumping though

A combination of things already expressed, used to go regularly to spots in Bath, Gloucester Exeter and Plymouth but now they just not worth it as a T girl. Boy racers following you and being intimidating, areas subject to patrols, areas with coverage the coverage taken away or gates put up. I loved it and have a blog that goes through my adventures but now I only meet at hotels or others houses. Still like the occasional car fun but not at dogging spots and only where the people know of a well of the beaten track.

Shame but that's life xx

Couple of simple ones, be polite, and clean, talk to people, ask any couples if they mind you watching, or what they would really like, will get you much further than just appearing at their window wanking, as soon as they park up, shouting something about fucking her rotten ...

Central

It's a mix of things and activity in one area may be dampened, whilst others aren't - it's often cyclical.

The increases in peoples' more selfish behaviours over the last 20 years or so has reduced the feel-good factor for many - pushiness, disruptive boy racers and overly aggressive people only caring about themselves.

Increased choice for how people can find sex, including online options - the latter has caused major changes for other sex venues and ways to get it.

The police and land management have been more successful in their strategies to reduce public sexual activity, forces having shared approaches that they use for the long term reduction of it.

People also have been going out less in general too - I think this is somewhat related.
