Have I broken my big toe, help please

Ok so about 4 weeks ago I smashed my big toe into something then a few days later on the same foot buckled it on a punching bag in kickboxing. Thinking nothing of it I left it. But now I can't curl it when I try. And all the other toes move but this one when I try. It's not painful just annoying knowing it used to move and now can't.

Do you think I have broken it?

Dont think theres a lot you can do even if you have,, in 4 weeks it might have fused incorrectly if you did..

should have gone to see a GP

When I broke my toe is hurt like fuck.

So if yours isn't hurting, then I'm sceptical. Just go to the doctor...

Sounds likely but tbh hospital prob won't even x-ray it so just keep it elevated and pop a bag of peas wrapped in a towel on it. If you can take some ibrufen.

Brighton - even Hove!

Not much they could do anyway and now it's a bit late. You could get an X-ray, I guess.

Sounds like it, I did similar years ago when sparring in taekwondo, they blocked my kick with their elbow. Wasn't until after the session that the pain kicked in and lack of toe movement was evident. Xray confirmed a crack in the bone.

can you weight bear on the foot? if you can't after 4weeks of injury then you need an x-ray. If you can put your entire weight on the foot then most likely a sprain. try neighbour strapping the toe against the other toe for a few days should see it right.

If your concerned, get to a walk in center as most have portable xrays.

I've broken both of my big toes and they don't do anything about it either time . Ice for swelling, painkillers and I think on one of them they did strap it to the next toe. 4 weeks in not sure there's much they can do. If you've lost mobility in it you should probably get it checked out though.
