I read a news article recently about a new trend. Apparently more and more makeup companies are coming out with makeup lines specifically designed to be worn while you sleep. The idea being that you wake up looking beautiful to whoever you went to sleep next to the day before.
These various products claim to be designed such that they don't harm your skin while you sleep in them. Some even claim to have benefits for your skin.
Here's the question ladies (and gentlemen who are so inclined)....would you ever consider wearing such makeup? Does waking up next to your boyfriend/husband/one night stand without looking perfect make you uncomfortable?
Personally I could never being myself to spend money on how I look while I'm sleeping. But I'm interested in your thoughts.

I put night face cream on but that's about it. If I'm in bed with a guy I will get up early and brush my teeth and squirt the shower up my fanny to give it a rinse before getting back into bed! |

Years ago I knew a woman who got up twenty minutes before her husband woke up to put make up on. I thought it was sad then and I think it's sad now. If you can't let a person see the real you it indicates deep self esteem issues to me. |

I rarly wear make up and I don't like heavy make up so no I wouldn't. I just wash my face before bed and in the am I wipe it with a baby wipe. Cos I'm using sunbeds twice a week atm all my freckles are out so I don't use foundation. I just wear a bit of highlight, a light mascara and a light lippy. I've always been low maintenance despite being a trained beauty therapist.

Legend, nothing worse than morning mouth meets morning minge
Both having a little top and tail before back to bed is always a nicer way to start the naughty lay in

Apparently the trend for selfies with the hashtag #wokeuplikethis is seen as part of the impetus for the proliferation of these products. Kinda defeats the purpose, I'd imagine...
I wonder if it might raise the bar for what men think women should look like in the morning, though |

No that just doesn't appeal to me at all. I like the getting up and putting my makeup on but like taking it off at night. If a man doesn't like me without makeup then he's not seeing the real me x |

I don't wear make up during the day that often so wearing it at nighttime just seems ridiculous to me. I am a fan of the get up teeth brushing and quick abluting and getting back into bed but anything other than that seems a waste of time and effort when I could be snuggled next to a snoozy man with a morning glory. |

Possibly for younger men. Mr N sometimes takes photos of me when I've just woken up because he likes how I look then. I think if this trend catches on it will be driven by women. |

I can barely be bothered putting makeup on in the day let alone at night time. If a guy is that shallow that he can't see past looks then he really isn't the guy for me. |

Marc takes pictures of me in the morning, too, sometimes. I must say, he's only helping the makeup iindustry's cause! Which speaks to your last sentence - I agree, it will likely be driven by women. |

I think women are the worst for shaming other women about how they look. Most men would be happy just waking up next to anyone.
In reply to the OP no I wouldn't use night make up but I don't ever do sleep overs so it's not an issue for me. |

Wowowowow !
I highly disagree, as a young man I prefer if the woman doesn't wear make up |
