Since joining this site I'm worried that when I get into a relationship I will never be able to trust that person as I'm now more clued up about what really goes on. Never used to think this until joining fab as I thought people in relationships just stayed together. Yes a little naïve of me I know but the only real relationship role models I had growing up were my parents who were married for 60yrs. I think it's shame that's rare nowadays.

This site has opened my eyes with regards to sex as wider concept and different perceptions of sex.
I don't think successful, or failed, relationships are generation specific although I do think in general the much older generation have some characteristics (such as patience?!) and viewed relationships in different ways that we do now.
Sites like F---book, P0F, Fab and T1nder mean that relationships are seen and accessed through a different lense. |

I feel the same. I have never had a relationship from anyone on fab and wouldnt expect to. But I have had offers from guys to start a relationship but most of them wanted a monogomous relationship an to come off fabs. I cant commmit to that.
Fabs has opened my eyes to how men are with women like you have mentioned OP.
I wouldnt ever expect a guy to just limit himself to having sex with me only. Not anyone from this site anyway.

I think you have mixed two very different things: swinging and cheating. Both involve a lot of sex to be fair but the context is different. There are plenty of people on here in lovely relationships but swing with the acknowledgment of the other.
One thing I'm more concerned about is actually meeting someone. I (and I dare say a lot of others on this site) have experienced a lot of things that most 'normal' don't. So, finding someone because more difficult as not everyone is understanding or can relate. |

i'm only cynical that men lie to get sex and that the internet is an ideal place for liars to do that.
i've had bad and good relationships and you tend to get a gut feeling when someone is cheating on you. and trusting people in the first place isn't what hurts you, it's when they let you down is what does that.
i don't think i'll ever trust a guy because every time i think i can i find out they lied to me. and i've been trying to trust them, i still would do but it'd be a huge surprise if i found someone who would not let me down or not give me shit or not be using me. |

I dont allow myself to get hurt.
See .. because of this site i only want a guy who will enjoy playing with others of our choosing. I am sure its not without its jealousies but if you are open with each other and discuss what you want to do and agree then i think it could be a good relationship. I wont allow myself to be cheated on as i dont plan on having a relationship.
I hope in time you move on OP but its a shame you cannot learn to trust anyone. They are not all the same you know

I thought like that before I joined. The internet and all forms of social media make it very easy to cheat nowadays. Plus people only show the good bits of their loves on the internet ie. Edited photos of themselves and only really talk about their lives when things are going well. So, all these 'positive people' with 'perfect lives' seem very appealing when you're facing money worries with your partner and living in a daily routine. The term the grass isn't always greener comes to mind. But that's just my opinion of course  |
