Gonna get a second sensible car got to do about fifty miles a day for a commute. Been looking at Hyundai i39 diesel 1.6 se very low rd tax does about 65 mpg 2015 onward not new. Anyone got any experience of these ? |

I looked at the petrol but most of my commute is dual carriageway / motorway so I thought I could get away with a diesel. Seems quite a good spec for not a lot of money. The main point it doesn't put miles on my good car |

A small modern PETROL car would be best for that commute...25 miles each way. Modern petrol engines can now give some great mpg figures. Mitsubishi ASX is a damned good car...a mate doing a similar commute recently bought one, and is chuffed to bits with the mpg figures he is getting. |
