Probably not but it doesn't bother me so much that I want to start a thread about it. I'm guilty of it myself at times, but that's because I'm on my phone with a small keyboard and sausage fingers!
What grinds my gears is when I get messages in text talk!

It's each to thier own isn't it. Some posts will be perfect English. ..others will be humorous....some will be auto text spelt which make plenty of mistakes.
But whichever they are I enjoy reading most posts on here and not be angst about grammar |

"I find the lack of basic grammar, spelling and punctuation in some threads simply infuriating. Surely I am not alone?"
I don't know, can you hear anyone around you? |

" I'm keeping out of this one!
Expect a heated debate!"
I'm in. Im actually going to argue with myself.
I hate the text speak/made up language/typing with accents/bad spelling.
I also can read and easily understand what they say.
Let it go op. It's just an online forum. |

Mistakes happen from time to time, but I find it infuriating when reading a sexy post or story and the poor grammar deprives me of enjoying myself!
Text speak is simply not acceptable! |

I don't think some realize you can click the little green arrow next to the complainers name to see previous post's from them.
Often their previous post's contain grammatical and spelling errors worst than them they are trying to belittle. |

"Even T9 does my head in! The amount of people that think that defiantly says definitely! "
The defiantly/definitely has always annoyed me.... recently found out that it is a common auto-correct on mobile phones. |

Did you know taht a sudty at cmbidgrae uivnrestiy showed that as that long as all the letters are there and the first and last letters are correct then over 90% of words are understandable to read. |

I know, but I always check spellings before sending, as I don't use p_editive text, I guess people who do use it assume they don't have to check. |

Do you not need to know how to spell in the first place though?? |

Mine is far from perfect so nur
Don't bother us though in the slightest, we are on here to meet like minded swingers for fun and socializing and not to compare if someone's spelling is better than ours or not.
I can just imagine half way through sex saying please spell apostrophe or I can't orgasm! |

In the grand scheme of things does it actually really matter??
Yes it may be infuriating OP but that shouldn't really be a judge of a person should it
There's plenty I find on here infuriating but I'm actually adult enough to not whinge and whine and just let it go over my head.
You never know that person who can't spell correctly or who doesn't use the correct grammer could just actually be one of the nice ones.
Just something to think about.

But maybe some of us have a very valid excuse,if like me you had to teach yourself to read and write at age 22 after a serious accident then in my minds eye life has plenty of judgment in it to say the least |

I'm far lees concerned about how something is said than I am about what the person is saying ......
I kinda guess I'm not a fan of narrow minded individuals who allow themselves to feel superior because they choose to measure the worth of other peoples contribution based on an ability or inability to use correct spelling and punctuation |

It helps contextualise things and avoids misinterpretation. I'm not a grammar snob (I'm bound to make errors)but it has a place, albeit not necessarily in here.
Correcting others publicly in forums is a little pompous for sure. |

If I can understand then I'm generally content - I've never enough time to read all posts, so skipping some isn't a crime.
The more ti_ed that I may become, the higher the frequency of my own mistakes. I'll accept that others will have some similar barriers against perfection. |

Nope, couldn't give a flying fuck. I have no idea of someone's background and am in no position to judge anyone, if I can't read or understand I don't.
Trying to belittle someone else for their failings doesn't seem a very intelligent thing to do really. |
