Just to throw this out there. My wife and I separated nearly 5 years ago, we are not divorced so still married. We have both been in other relationships since splitting up. I am currently single and she is with a guy she has been with on and off for 3 years or so. Now, I've been spending a lot of time with her lately, helping her with diy jobs and moving furniture in and out of her house etc because her new fella is useless. We have been very flirty with each other and a bit touchy feely. My question is this, if we were to start having sex would that mean that I was having an affair with my own wife as she is in another relationship?  |

I'm not saying it will happen, probably not but the thought has crossed my mind and it dawned on me that I'd be having an affair with my own wife. You just couldn't write it. |

If she is seeing other men it could get a bit complicated. I had a brief affair with my ex wife when she relaxed a bit and became not such a hard ass. But I was wary that she was using her womanly charms to get me back in her panties.
Trouble was I'd met mrs N and I decided that going back to my nutty ex would not be a good path to follow. However it really doesn't solve all your problems as Mrs N has a nutty ex husband and latterly a nutty son so it's been a case of out of the frying pan into the fire.
If you are getting on well with the ex mrs and both happy then why not carry on. Perhaps it's meant to be. |

Yeah in realist I know it would be a bad idea but the man in me wants to show her what she's been missing but I'm sure it would end in tears, probably mine. I was just thinking out loud really.  |

Yeah of course but after a five year break maybe she could do with a little reminder. Anyhow, that wasn't the point, my question was, is it possible to have an affair with my own wife. In other words would it be considered to be an affair if we are still married. It was just a little conundrum that dawned on me that's all. |
