I've been on a dating site. Looking to have a genuine relationship. Text on the site, exchange phone numbers. Send the first text and then nothing. This has happened on a few occasions now. Why do women do this? |

Did the request for a number happen at the wrong insertion point of the interaction?
Not good at giving rejection, so ignore you or misdirect you?

i stopped talking to the last guy i gave my number to coz he turned every single fucking thing i said into an innuendo. it put me off.
i'm guessing women give you a fake number thinking you're trying to con them? we do get warned anyone trying to take us off site asap is trying to con us.
do you mention who you ae in the text or not? i ignore any new texts if i'm not sure who the person is. |

Unfortunately OP they have lost interest. Best to delete the number and move on.
Tip though. Don't moan about them to other women as it can be off putting. I had this on a dating site with a few guys and it made me stop chatting with them. Stay positive. |

Hmmm, not sure, have you asked them why they do this, then you'll know and not have to waste time worrying about it
As someone else said, they're probably not interested. Spend time on the ones that are and not stress about the others, it's pointless. |

Unless you have actually spoken to them they are almost certainly men pretending to be women. And the few women are often scammers trying to get you to sign up to other dating sites that won't let you cancell their subscription untill they have got a few hundred off your bank card.
The truth is almost no attractive women use dating sites as they get so many offers just walking down the street. |

Umm OP it's not just women who 'do this' I know a lady who has arranged a date on two occasions and the guy just doesn't bother showing up or just buggers off the dating site without a word so please don't think it's just the ladies !! |

Umm OP it's not just women who 'do this' I know a lady who has arranged a date on two occasions and the guy just doesn't bother showing up or just buggers off the dating site without a word so please don't think it's just the ladies !!"
Yep, men do it too, been done to me but I just delete the number and assume they're not interested. I'd rather this than they waste my time keep messaging back if they're not interested. Its really not worth worrying about. |

Why is it games. We all have different preferences. There's just a percept that single guys are entitled to get laid because ladies are on the site. We are all different and like different things so that's all there is to it |
