£50 contribution????? Wtf??

So messaging a couple who are looking for what I have, and receive a cut and paste message (dates changed) basically saying we have booked a room today, inviting me to join them and a few other single guys for a £50 contribution.... I didn't realise Brentford travel lodges we so expensive - this seems rather dodgy and not at all what I think swinging is about m, what do others think about paying to meet a couple?? |

I was invited to a party last year at an "exclusive" apartment in the city centre, they wanted £35 up front and another £25 on arrival, for that, I got a glass of champagne (hate the stuff) and there's a hot tub if I wanted to use it 
Oh, but there wasn't any guarantee of play as there would be a few people there.

It's the old 'covering costs' thing. If one guy turns up then £50 is reasonable as a share, if 10 turn up then it's a nice little windfall isn't it?
I'm quite sure that there are plenty of guys that will pay and that's why they can get away with it |

I get covering costs etc, but it really didn't come across like that, plus nowhere in their profile did it suggest that this was their approach - anyway, I'm not pursuing, and nor am I looking for a "free prostitute" not sure where that comment came from,... is like to think the people I'm with are there for the enjoyment not for some money!

I've seen that on a few profiles as well, where the female is advertising group sex, requiring a contribution towards hotel cost.
I'm up for paying half the cost of the hotel but only in one on one scenarios, something like this is like others mentioned, paying for sex.
That being said I do have a similar opinion of clubs, to me you're just paying a bunch of money to have a shot at having sex. |

 That's a valid point, particularly when men are charged more for entry - isn't it essentially the same thing?
Yes, there are costs to cover of course, but it's really about making money from those hoping to be able to get laid.
I guess the key difference is at least a club are upfront and open about being a commercial enterprise! |

Didn't want to cause an argument!
It was a surprise to me as I am local to them next week, we were messaging - hi I'm near you blah blah blah and got the cut and paste of pay £50 straight away, no request for face pics, stated in their message they wouldn't send any.... anyway needless to say I didn't go, if they had said we are staying here, would you mind sharing costs that would have been different in my opinion.... the fact they also said there would be 2 or 3 more guys made me poet the question in here - clearly as most things it divides opinion. I'm not averse to sharing costs, far from it, I am averse to paying for sex found on a swinging site...
