whats a late night for you (finally going to bed) and whats an early morning (waking up)

a friend of mine complained that her neighbour was cutting the grass at 9pm and called that late because she was in bed. The sun is only just beginning to set around that time... was it too late to be cutting the grass though?

Late would be 11.30pm (normally 10.30pm) on a weekday, early would be up at 4.30am (normally 5.30am)

I'm rarely in bed before 2am or I'll be up at 5am. I don't require a great deal of sleep so 2am-6am is about regular for me.

Still sore, ended up sleeping on my back last night (im normally a sprawled out star fish lying on my front lol) woke up a few times. Luckily my grandma has kindly taken my little one off me today because i just wanna scream when she cuddles me.. not good and its not her fault. Paracetamol & Ibuprofen have helped but still feels like ive been battered

i dont think that your friends issue is about what time you go to bed, its about what time it is acceptable to do noisy activities.

as far as i know companies are not allowed to do noisy work before and after a certain time in residential areas.

i would be pissed off if my neighbours were mowing their lawn at 9pm, that wen i want to be winding down, not hearing other people doing stuff!!

I would be having words if a neighbour decided 9pm is perfectly fine to start mowing the bloody grass. Not only is it annoying it's also rude and disrespectful to the parents trying to get their kids to sleep at a decent hour

I believe it is between the hours of 11pm and 7am that they have to be quiet

Outdoors I work to the 9-9 principle. Not starting anything before 9am and start to finish off anything noisy outside at 9pm…. with the exception of BBQ’s.

Indoors, I may carry on making a noise until a bit later…. but my neighbour doesn’t go to bed ‘til 1-2am.
