is it your actual breasts that hurt or are you just assuming it is cos its in that general area?
pain when breathing would suggest some kind of chest infection or even pleurasy (sp??). i had a friend with that nce and he said it hurt to breate in
like many have said est way is to get to the docs |

its the actual breasts,, exceptionally tender. whole area feels bruised. Guess it hurts to breathe deeply because my chest rises up and down. |

I remain convinced PMT is to blame. I never suffered painful breasts due to PMT until 12 months after giving birth.
Periods were all over the place for 3 years after so I got PMT sometimes twice a month. |

Sounds similar to a condition my daughter had a couple of months ago called costocondritis. It caused her pain when she breathed in and the whole area was tender (especially towards the centre of her chest).
It's an infection of the rib joints and intercostal muscles. It's painful but not serious ... wonder if it could be that? Only one way to find out really - go speak to your GP and get it diagnosed properly x |

What concerns me is why you are asking non medical people about a "potential" medical problem?! Surely a trip to the doctors would be better than guess work? |

Siren can't bear hers to be touched at the moment. It appears nature isn't without a sense of irony - it's given her huge tits while she's pregnant but no fooker can grapple with them! |

Don't you know that we're not supposed to ask for advice about anything on the forums anymore. You MUST go and see an expert now.
Only light and fluffy stuff is permitted on here, and the sex bits too, of course, they're mandatory. |

I believe they are updating the forum rules as we speak
I often ask peoples advice on here AS WELL as going to the relevant professional bodies, I dont believe that anybody would go around acting on medical issues on the advice of comments on a forum thread! |

As Wishy said on another thread (paraphrase'ish!) there are people on here from all walks of life, from all sectors of work and it is a pretty good place to ask advice!
As long as it's not a substitute for seeking help from the correct professional, where is the harm? Perhaps someone should post a list of what is and is not acceptable! |

Sometimes its nice to ask for advice from people who have perhaps had similar experiences. I had some good feedback meaning it could be related to PMT.. and the only advice i did take which i would have done anyways was make a GP appointment for today.
Not a lot i could have done about it late last night sadly. |

In all fairness Wishy, she has already been on the NHS Direct website... they do have a phone number.... 24/7.
Having been on the NHS Direct website and having the option to call them, it's hardly the most sensible thing to do to ignore that option and come on here to ask the FHS Direct folk for their random guesswork.... if you really want advice that is.

There is nothing wrong with sharing concerns or starting a thread to gain attention ( this isn't accusing anyone of doing it, I am just commenting )
I wouldn't do it myself, but lots of people do, there is no harm in it. |
