A recent post makes me wonder what goodies we got from previous generations. The only words of wisdom I heard from mine (2nd hand, through my mother) were:
"No matter what the fashion is, your ass belongs in your pants."
In German. No, I don't speak German, nor did my mother, so I only got the translation.
What pearls of wisdom did yours pass on?
