I've a piece that runs from just below my armpit to just above my hip. Being a relatively bony chap that was quite painful in places.
My next tattoo covers a nipple and my sternum, both which are supposed to be quite painful  |

It's all relative. Scars can be painful. I've heard the bum and around the nipple is sore
You should relax for the least pain. I never found it unbearable or had to ask to stop. Five hour sessions at most
Bruising can be sore tho  xxx |

I mainly chose a foot tattoo to see how painful it was, it took two hours and I didn't find it too bad at all. My mum has always said I have a high pain threshold, not quite sure how she would know this unless she dropped me a lot as child - which would explain a lot  |

Mine is on the side still unfinished because I couldn't cope with the pain. I don't think the top of the foot hurts so much but when it hits bone... Ouch! |

breastbone...fuck that! worse so far for me, arms a bit sore in places but no great shakes, shoulder blade the same, calf easiest by far but bang in the middle of the chest was bloody horrible! |

feet for me, but i got them done.
since i started on my legs i got a lot of that done but my calves seem particularly bad so i stopped having tattoos and dunno if i want any more done. well i do want more but it hurts too much. |

I almost fell asleep during my last five hour tattoo 
Losing to get one on my foot soon and have heard that smarts a bit but deep breaths and zone out and I'll be fine |

All mine hurt (Mrs) in varying degrees, some a lot more than others. I'm usually good for about 3 hours before I really struggle though.. Also apparently it's more painful for ladies at a certain time of the month..
Numbing cream does apparently work provided you remember to put it on in time.. I actually like the pain I like it even more when it stops. It's something to do with endorphins..
I am planning another one I'm just not sure what to have. |

Inner bicep hurt like a bitch. So bad.
Also, may have been because I'd done a night shift and had no sleep, but my calf... That hurt a lot too, I dunno. |

"Spine was torture "
I really enjoyed having my spine done. Little shots of pain kept going to weird places. Loved it. But then I fell asleep so missed the rest.
Bicep so far has hurt the most, But it wasn't especially painful, bruising was epic though. |
