Apparently nicotine on its own doesn't cause the addition that leads a smoker to take up and ultimately practice the habit long-term.

Other alkaloids within tabacco act in tandem with nicotine to reinforced the habit and cause addiction.. naturally occurring compounds within tabacco apparently act as non selective monoamine oxidase inhibitors ( compounds that have an anti-anxiety and antidepressant effect) .

I started vaping recently and wondered why the experience differed even though the liquids contain nicotine. It has been suggested the withdrawal effects of tabacco aren't in fact nicotine withdrawal but maoi withdrawal (a similar withdrawal those tapering off anti depressants experience).

Thought this might be an interesting nugget of info for Those who are considering transitioning to or are attempting to transition from tabacco to vaping, certain herbs have natural maoi properties (passion flower being quite a widely available supplement).

I'm curious if combining eliquid with a herbal supplement that possesses maoi properties would be useful.

Any experience or feedback on this appreciated.

i've managed to give up easily when pregnant, without any side effects or withdrawal symptoms (other than still craving a cig but not having them).

also the nicotine difference and how your body receives that is different dependent on what strength cigs you smoked and what you're vaping. you can google to find out what strength nicotine you should be using in your vape.

i think it's mostly in your head. i'm sure there are neurological symptoms also because your body likes to keep itself in an equilibrium state and doesn't enjoy being denied certain reactions. but mostly i think it's for the next reasons:

habits are usually comforting in some way, it's why we struggle to give them up even if they're bad for us. we can feel uncomfortable with change for this reason also. imo.

Organic cbd oil or cbd crystal isolate from hemp plants can be turned into e liquid and vaped,it's perfectly legal to buy in England because it's not psychoactive and doesn't contain any thc.

Many herbs can apparently be vaped. They need to be processed in some way to harvest the active compounds then the extracts infused with Pg/VG. There's a few specialists online that exclusively offer herbal vape infusions.

Unfortunately concerning tabacco .. nicotine is the only compound eliquid manufacturers extract and add to their concoctions.

Nicotine administered alone in clinical trials on addiction didn't prove habit forming at all - so definitely those struggling with nicotine replacement therapies and vaping are struggling because many of the other alkaloids present within tabacco that act in tandem with nicotine aren't present leading to withdrawal symptoms.

Arg.
