I find the milk pods on the Tassimo taste awful and the coffee tastes too fake. I have a Nespresso machine which allows me to use fresh milk and a huge variety of quality coffee. Yes they seem expensive but with each cup costing no more than £1 it beats a trip to the coffee shop every morning |

I love my nespresso 37p per pod and the cost the milk is pennies so they are good value for money!
When it comes to make hot chocolate i just use the cadburys powder and make ones that are too die for |

A bag of coffee beans in tesco is £1.99 = 30 cups of fresh ground coffee. Pods are way too expensive |

Add in the time to grind beans daily, clean the machine or cafetiere each time and its a nightmare.. quick clean simple and compared to a tassimo its cheaper |

Those machines that rely upon proprietary and expensive "pods" to work?
They probably have their advantages but they seem like an expensive gimmick that in all likelihood will end up as paper weights should they pull the plug on manufacturing the pods. |

Honestly and I don't want to turn this into a mines better then yours....but I have just got a bean to cup that does the grinding..self cleans and make the cup in around 45 seconds.....believe me I had a dolce gusto for a few years but these are so easy and by far cheaper plus the coffee is fresher |

They are expensive but I got mine for a bargain at 99 quid which is a quarter of the price...but if you look around you can pick one up for around £250....I know it sounds expensive but it's not when you take the coffee costs into account |

I'll stick with my nespresso as so far it does the job for as and when I want it! I tend to drink water mainly so mine is more a treat |

Have a Tassimo and Nespresso. The Tassimo is far more convenient if more expensive to feed. The Nespresso make a better quality of coffee.
Coffee from Amazon is cheaper for the Tassimo.
For Nespresso users you can buy refillable pods so you can do your own and save money. |

BUT.... drinks via the tassimo machine only takes 60 seconds to make. Then they are the perfect drinkable temperature soon as they're poured. I had no time waiting around in the morning for Kettle and then for my Latte to become a drinkable temperature. Trust me you'll wonder how you ever managed with that machine once you buy one! |

Nespresso for me, love the flavour.
I have one of the early machines, so I got a milk frother from "Hostess" who made those heated trollies some of us remember from the 70s. So my top tip is to put your hot chocolate mix in a cup ( I rather like the one from charbonnel et walker) and use just enough to cream the power into a paste, then top up with hot frothy milk - even better with a slug of dark rum or brandy. |
