"Choking on the dust from rosining. That's irrational and silly but I always have to do it outside."

I used to have a fear of heights but then i argued it was irrational as its not the height that will kill, its the sudden stop when you hit the ground.
Im not afraid of jelly fish, however its peeing on it after to stop the stinging Thats the bigger worry...public indecency ect ect

"I get a weird vertigo feeling if I'm swimming in deep, clear water
I know I can't "fall" (because physics) but apparently nobody told my brain that..."
Not quite the same but if ever I'm cycling and another cyclist gets within 3 feet of me I instantly get dizzy, my balance just goes and I invariably fall off the bike |

"Dying and being eaten by rats
Would have thought the five cats would have cured that particular phobia xx
Perhaps that's why there is 5 cats "
Then I would be more scared of the cats eating my body |

To the bow, yeah. I don't know why I am 'cause the dust is tiny. But it still worries me. |

Wasps/bees. I completely freeze. Even if they're attacking my children I can't move.
The thought of the end of "My Girl" makes me stop breathing. Absolutely terrified. |

Of a tree crashing through my bedroom window during a storm and crushing me in bed.
Even more unlikely because there are no trees directly outside my bedroom window!!

My irrational fear? Going to a swingers social expecting kinky fuckery and instead being bored to death by conversations about Benidorm, taxes, mortgages, football and the difficulties with having teenage children. |

"Babies
Athletes foot cream
I used to have another thing about catching a particular rare illness...then bizarrely i did actually catch it and all was well so just those two now."
Being trapped by a rockfall whilst exploring an underwater cave.
I don't do scuba, and I haven't swum in the sea for 20 years so it's a fairly irrational fear |

".. getting stung by jellyfish in the sea in Summer.
What are you (possibly irrationally) scared of?
I've been stung by one ... it bloody hurts!! "
Ouch! Did you have to do the old 'wee on demand' thing to neutralise the sting?? |

".. getting stung by jellyfish in the sea in Summer.

I'm also scared or wasps but that's allergy related.

I have this as well. I'm ok in swimming pools but not in the sea.
I also have a feeling that in dark deep water something is going to come up from the beep and drag me down. |

"Very bad winds uprooting the tree in my garden to crash through my window."
And there was me thinking I was the only one!!
Freaks me out, I hate strong winds. I posted early in the thread about a tree crashing through my bedroom window and crushing me in bed, yet even more stupidly if I'm completely under the duvet then I'm supposedly safe!! ...

i guess that's why you mentioned in the irrational fears thread..i'm scared witless of flying even though it's definitely safe! but the mind is an odd thing |

I have a serious phobia of Wind Turbines and Cranes.
Most people find this hilarious and my father in law used to trick me all the time when we'd be travelling anywhere into spotting them but I will have huge panic attacks to the point I can't breathe, feel like I'm having a heart attack or about to die. It's horrible.
It's the height of them... they remind me of the things in War of The Worlds. The blades. The length.
I'm struggling typing about them.

Nothing to see here. Please move along. |
Hamsters. I'm okay with rats and gerbils and guinipigs but I have been known to run screaming from a house whena hamster even just rRussell it's bedding.
I'm better than I was though. I never used to be able to enter a house where I knew there was a hamster. |

Actually witnessing a Nuclear explosion, seeing the huge mushroom cloud just before I'm vaporised by its "wall of fire" shock wave!
Is that so irrational these days?
Scary |

"Very bad winds uprooting the tree in my garden to crash through my window.
The great storm of '87 left part of a chestnut tree in my parents roof!!"
That storm was the catalyst for my fear. What made this worse was the storm when the actor Gordon Kaye suffered severe head injuries. Rather bizarre to focus on Gordon Kaye I know, but when we have bad winds I am terrified and can't go near windows.
Its better nowadays because of double glazing and you don't hear it as much, but years ago during those storms we didn't have double glazing and I had panic attacks. |

"Masks. Even if I watch someone put it on I instantly freak out "
One of my exs was the same, I had a clown mask in my boot from halloween that she didn't know was there until we put the shopping in there. She refused to get back in the car until I put it in the bin and it was a bloody expensive one ha |

I don't think it's irrational to be scared of getting stung by something.
Irrational fear is being scared of carrier bags or something |

You should try that whilst scuba diving
The closest thing you can have to being in space
The deep dark depths beneath you and a large column of water and sunshine above
I've had some marvellous drift dives in the Red Sea, along a cliff wall, just like this |
