Would you? Wouldn't you?
Personally I wouldn't as I'd feel awkward to do so, but I do go in for a hug after the first breathless 'hello!' to break the ice.

I do...I think a kiss is a key part of the passion associated with a meet....it's not necessary, in that I know some people like to save kissing for partners etc. but if both parties are open to it, I think it's a nice thing to do...  |

I think it depends on the meet...if it's a social where you're meeting for literally the first time, then a hug and a peck on the cheek would seem the most appropriate.
If it's a play meet then a little more would be a good ice breaker for sure. |

Depends on the person and the place. I've had my breath completely taken away and my head made to spin in the past by a deep passionate kiss 'hello' that set the stage for what turned out to be a very fun, lasting friendship, but equally the flirtatious peck and wicked grin has led to some very fun encounters.... Oh my, if it was a "meet" I'd be bitterly disappointed if the electricity from the first kiss wasn't flowing within seconds. All the build up to that moment we first meet and the discussions we've had about the first kiss, it should be explosive and instinctively just happen. That initial kiss from my most recent first meet makes me tingle with excitement just thinking about it |

I'd usually go in for a handshake, unless she's obviously going for a hug, then I'd reciprocate.
Got it wrong once and went for a goodbye hug. Halfway in, I spotted the handshake coming the other way
Happy with friendly hugs but I'd rather save the kisses until we've established there's a 2-way attraction. |

First meet, social in a coffee shop, I went for the polite handshake but got coerced into a peck on the cheek.

I vary it. But I do try and get a hug in .. if not a kiss on the cheek. If they are very different from their photos (in the past as i cam now before meeting) then they dont get a hug or kiss.
These days a hug and a kiss on the cheek to greet. I have met one or two guys where we snogged and more the first time .. but the sexual tension was so great.. it had to be done.
