I cut my foreskin with a fingernail a couple of months ago and it healed fine.
Last week it was a bit itchy and then got a bit painful (although I think thats because I was thinking about it). It's now a red and slightly raised patch but no obvious heading/blister. No flu or cold symptoms either.
Does anyone have an experience of genital herpes and how the symptoms feel and develop?
I've not had unprotected sex but have received oral sex without a condom. |

"Haha thanks.
I will go to a doctor if it doesnt change just wondered if anyone could tell me what their experience was like.
I do have a habit of getting paranoid about STDs !"
Well for goodness sake don't Google your symptoms then! Just go and get seen and then you'll know one way or another. Furthermore if it *is* something that's been sexually transmitted your contact(s) will need to be informed so they can also be tested and treated (and not spread it further in the meantime). |

It could be MRSA or similar and if you leave it for a week or so it may nibble away till you have nothing left down there. |

Forgive my bluntness, but it's ya bobby dazzler, do you really need to be told to go and get something checked out?
And more the point, why wait to 'see if it 'doesn't change' just go now!
End of stressful worrying. |

Nobody can tell you on here what it is. You need a physical examination performed by a registered professional. Believe me, they've seen everything, so don't be hesitant to get it checked out. Leaving it will only cause you to worry, when it could be something that is easily rectified . |

"Dip it in whiskey, then vinegar, then white spirit. That should sort it out. "
This works a treat can also use same treatment for removing red wine stains and cleaning paint brushes |

get in and get it seen today, if not your GP then a walk in centre or GUM clinic.
Dont go to google as within 3 clicks you will not only be dying but your cock will have to be amputated and turned into a 2nd nose |

I'm waiting for the day someone will post, "just woke up, room full of smoke, the curtains are smoldering and I'm getting kinda warm. Should I call the fire brigade?"
How some people function without Fab is beyond me. |

You have two verifications and think you may have herpes. FFS, get checked and inform your contacts. Get RESPONSIBLE! |

You're right, some folks would simply die of stupidity if it wasn't for the advice on fab. |

No body on here is going to "share their experience of genital herpes" . It's an incurable STI and they shouldn't be having sex without the prior knowledge of their partner!!
If your trying to get people to confess they have it, good luck to you!
I'm surprised the "I always get checked, but never set foot in a gum clinic" brigade haven't been along yet with their words of wisdom! |

In which case you obviously have a regular clinic to get your quarterly checks so contact them and ask for an interim appointment. |

Obviously condoms aren't foolproof
And If you've had oral unprotected with someone who gets coldsores (type 1 herpes) then there's a chance that could be passed on.
But as has been said, if you've cut yourself it might have got infected. |

Get checked out. It's easy to do and the clinics are very good.
We both have it. As do a few on here no doubt, 20% of the population have it and most of them don't even know. Which I can understand as I first noticed 15 years ago and since then I can count on one hand how many outbreaks I've had.
Safe sex is a must for any swinging situation anyway as there far more dangerous sti's out there. |

Just google it, or get down to your local firestation if you're that worried. |

Sounds like thrush, keep it clean and dry and should heel fine, sudacrem will also help. But any doubts go to the clinic |
