Again, not a big fan but I've probably got 5 or 6 albums. I can't stick his voice most of the time, good songwriter though, as evinced by the many great covers of his songs by other people. This is probably my favourite with him singing..

I love Bryan Ferry's version of 'Hard Rains Gonna Fall', Nick Cave's cover of 'Wanted Man', The Byrds 'Tambourine Man', and Jimi's 'All Along The Watchtower'. |

"What's yer favourite Bob track? I love all of his stuff and he has been covered by so many artists over the years.
Hurricane - Bob Dylan

My favourite Bob Dylan track is not a Bob Dylan track even though for many years I'd presumed it was....
It's... "Catch the wind" by Donovan |

Hurricane is a great song, tambourine man needs an honourable mention, but for me Blowing in the wind is his best
Yes, and how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, and how many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Blood on the Tracks is one of my favourite ever albums.
Shelter from the Storm and Simple Twist of Fate are particularly meaningful for me.
I also love Girl from the North Country and Mama You've Been on My Mind, as a springing to mind of favourite tracks. But really, I could happily listen to Dylan all day long. Oh and the At Budokan album is a great fun too. |

"He's at the Nottingham Arena this Friday.
Gah, I never realised this! I would have bought tickets had I known as it's only just down the road from me "
There are tickets left.

Yes I know, but the cheapest are £60 (nearly £80 with beer & transport) and it's not the amount I would have been anticipating, much as I would have love to have seen him. Maybe a little planning next time might be in order so I can save a few pennies up |

This thread has now got me diving into my old vinyl collection. I've got loads of his LP's...... I saw him in concert (outside) years ago....at "the picnic" with Eric Clapton on the same bill! |

Blind Willy McTell - the sheer passion in his voice is amazing alongside moving lyrics and haunting six string and piano combine to raise the hairs on your back (but not mine, waxed smooth always!) |

I typically love his earlier stuff more but I also like hearing broken old men haunted by regret (see also Leonard Cohen and Johnny Cash) so Most of the Time and When the Deal goes Down really hit the spot. |
