A basic photo editing programme. Go to Start - All Programmes - Accessories and you'll find Paint.
It's quite easy to use |

You could use Paint shop pro or a free option GIMP which is just as good as many expensive programs.
Use a selection tool in said program, then you either "Fill" it with colour or use a Pixelation filter, which makes the selection Blockly, then deselect and save...Job done

"ummm ok how do I get a picture in there so I can paint out what I wish to remove please?"
File/Open .. then browse for the file you want to edit. Or, use Windows Explorer to go to where your photos are stored and then right click on the one you want to work on and select, 'Open with' and then choose 'Paint'. |

In paint (if memory serves) you could just paint out the faces using a brush which is 4 down and 2 across and looks like a paint brush, then you can just paint out the faces, although i think this looks a little bit hard, on another note paint on my computer would only load BMP files or Bitmap pictures, so if you've got Jpeg pics from say a Digital camera you may need to convert them. |

You must have a really old version of paint as it's supported file types other than .bmp for a while now. You can open jpgs & gifs and save them under their original extensions too. |

Oh for goodness sake!! You all have it wrong!!
What you do is get a cardboard oval and hold it in front of your face before you take the picture. Any colour will do but either a flesh colour or black seem to be the popular choices. May be best if you use superglue to make sure it stays in place. If you want the "fuzzy" look, get some wool of the correct colour (your preference) and glue it to your face.
Best of all, the blanked out eyes... Two methods for this, the "Slot" and the "Twin Monocles’". For the slot, cut a letterbox shaped piece of card and sellotape it across your eyes and take the picture. Alternatively, for the Monocles, cut out two black circles and pop them in front of your eyes, squinting as you do it.. Take the picture and there you are!
(On all of the above, it may be best to get someone else to take the pictures. Don’t want to superglue the camera to you hands, eh?)
As I have already indicated, the best methods are the last two, lets face it, no one is going to recognise you if you block out your eyes, are they? |

"How do you block out faces on pics?"
There are many faces I have seen on Fab that I have wished I could block out of my mind.
I find the simplest way to do it is to put my hand over my eyes while viewing face pics and peak through the gaps in my fingers. |

Now how much easier is that!!! Why not just get everyone to promise that they won't look at the faces!! Or, each picture could have a caption that told you what you could and could not look at. We'd all be on Scouts/Guides honour to do just that!! That'd work, after all we are all honest, aint we??? |
