My Mum made the best bread and butter pudding with marmalade in it too.
I'm going to make a tea loaf later and that's good to eat with lashings of butter. |

I've never had it."
It was delicious but seriously unhealthy,,,,,
Back then people never worried about those kind of things, you were just happy to have something to eat ....

" birds adore fat especially with seeds etc in it hung up outside, but yes I,ve had dripping when younger but it was more of a novelty than anything was ok in small amounts. |

I'm not a fan of bread in general but I love staying late at my folks and having some tea and toast with lurpak butter for supper before I head home. Proper nostalgia! |

One of my relatives used to cover the entire piece of bread in butter, my parents used to put out a small amount of butter when they came. |

I use the Lurpak versions from Aldi/Lidl!
Love a bit of bread with my butter, the warmer & more crust the bread has the better!
