Same, if I'm really struggling to sleep I've got a playlist of gentle relaxing songs I like that I put on quietly.
I might try an audiobook though, sounds like that works well for others! |

Progressively take the tempo down, increased relaxation, lower light levels. More of a dimmer switch effect upon the day than an on/off switch. Once in bed I'm much closer to sleep - I may still do things like reading |

I took up meditation this year, so do 10 mins before I go to bed to close down day and put everything to rest.
Has worked wonders for my insomnia too, I still have the odd night here and there where sleep eludes me, but more often than not I'm sleeping through these days.
Can't recommend it enough! |

We find conjoined pressups help us and other physical activites to take out minds off trying to sleep.
We have also found it is a very good time to carry out routine examinations that often get overlooked during the rush of life such as breast examinations for lumps, scrotumm examinations etc, etc. |
