Still reading 'The Enemy Within' by Seumas Milne which is about the miners strike.
Also dipping into Tracey Cox's 'Dare' for some light relief after it was recommended on here. Nearly finished it. An interesting read for swingers. |

I have three books that need my attention right now. 1. Bill Bryson (can't recall the title) 2. Mindfulness (I'm hoping to relax more) 3. Hospitality.. Unwitting the rules of service...
It's called a Mar's Bar trilogy Work Rest and Play. |

I so enjoyed these
Never been so disappointed as when they attempted to make a film from them, Stirling cast but terrible direction .
Have you read the inheritance cycle by Christopher paolini ?
They were the greatest collection of books I've ever read. Was absolutely hooked on them. |

I have Dare on my pile for the same reason (love Amazon), not got around to it.
Reading Iain Banks - Whit at the mo. But excited about a new Farseer book from Robin Hobb.

What I'm really getting from 'Dare', as was said in the thread about the book, is that you really need to communicate and plan efficiently if you're going to make your fantasies come true. Take baby steps toward them as well. We've been putting that into practice recently with great success so we're finding it really useful. Think I'm going to give The Ethical Slut' (also recommended on same thread) a read next.
Was a massive Ian Banks fan when I was younger, can't remember if I liked 'Whit' (so long ago! I vaguely remember the plot though) but I know that's around the time he started to lose me. Books like 'Song Of Stone' & The Business' which i think came just after i really didn't like.

I probably agree with you on The Business, Whit is ok.
I prefer him in his Sci-Fi writing persona really... |
