I am on facebook...it was mainly the easiest and cheapest way to keep in touch with all my friends and family back home and to share pics of the kids with them...the appeal for twatter is still a mystery to me though |

Oh doesn't at all. I do but only to keep in contact with my friends and family who are spread far and wide. I very rarely post on there, privacy setting are on high and very little info about me. I mainly use it to play Bejewelled |

ahh fair point, i have to be honest and admit that the salon i work in has an account and i friended my youngest son so i could keep up to date with what is happening whislt he is on his phase 1 training in the army as even though he has no bloody time to as much as text his poor old momma he can find time to post on bloody facebook although that said i have only looked twice in 5 weeks and posted once nagging that if he has time to post there he has time to text me and since that he has rang at least once a week and replied to all texts so no need to look anymore (method in my meddling ) |

Facebook are worried about the number of people committing 'facebook suicide' in other words dropping out. Must say we've been tempted because of the crap that appears all the time, some people are so obsessed with themselves they almost post every bowel movement! |

We was both on it for a year or so, even used to play cafeworld and things for a while but we both deleted our acounts a few month back as for us, we found it a pointless waste of time.

I actually do find it useful, partly as a marketing tool for one of my businesses, but also as a way of keeping in touch with friends. However I am kind of careful with it, I only take people on as friends if I've actually met them. Some people do go a bit daft with it, virtually telling you about every time they go to the toilet! |

Can't be arsed with it, as I had work colleagues who wanted to be my friends, and I would not even let them buy me a drink if I am standing next to a bar waiting to get one. |

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack! |
I joined Facebook under a false name because I wanted to see photos that were supposedly posted on A&G`s page. I couldn`t find the photos and vowed to delete the membership. The following day I had over 100 "friends" who I`d never heard of! Made sure I cancelled the membership there and then! What a load of b*llox! |

Because I (a) Moved 250 miles from my hometown a few years ago and want to keep in touch with friends in an easy way.....and (b) Want to keep in touch with friends who have moved abroad...
I find my Facebook membership very helpful.

I'm not on it, not on msn either. Did have msn once upon a time cos a particular bloke asked me to. He found a girlfriend and deleted me. Asked me to rejoin down the line, but never have. Though i can see they'd be useful to some, no use to me |
